"You know, my roomate dated Nanook.

Said she rubs it."

Did she go to his igloo to check out his "harpoon collection?"

Did she stay the whole night....three months?

I had to laugh this morning when I saw the "life and death" cold temperature folks were getting in the Lower 48. Was it Sheperd Smith that said people can't even live at temperatures such as those? They were telling people to stay inside and not venture out unless it was an emergency. Alaskans laughed today. ;)

best dog I ever had was an Elkie

they are a great breed and love the outdoors

only problem - he was a "roamer" and would go out at night and beat up small animals

but he was like a bodyguard for my then young daughters

We were blessed when we bought this house. It has a basement where hubby's bass boat, office, and 2 garages are. We have never had any kind of freezing problem with the basement. I can remember draining the pipes and letting the water run at the other house. It helps our heating bill in the winter having it, too.

I took a trash bag out to the pail outside, and my hands were wet. When I went back to the door, my wet hand started to stick to the door knob! (Northern NJ)
