The OFFICIAL Superbowl Commercial Thread

Posted on 02/04/2007 3:00:33 PM PST by blu

I have neither started nor maintained a thread for football commercials in the past...

TOPICS: Culture/Society; Miscellaneous; News/Current Events
KEYWORDS: advertising; bearswin; blackonblack; chat; colts; coltswin; commercials; dabears; indianapoliscolts; lovieisdaman; rexcellence; sexyrexy; superbowl; superbowlshuffle; yawning

...So if I'm, stepping on someone's toes, uh, well.....I haven't seen a thread yet that was devoted to the only part of the Superbowl I deem worthy of looking up from my knitting, (But, yes, DA BEARS).

So go ahead and tell us what you think. I haven't seen any pre-game shows (there's a Little House marathon on the Hallmark channel!) so this will be interesting. Couldn't find any previews on AdAge's page...so I hope they're good.

one ad had an ugly fat man as somebody's mom, counselling her
son. "If your mom was a man, she'd tell you to eat Combos"

Predictable dorky-white-guy-bashing, followed by talking animals, thus far. Blah.

Loved the Mouse commercial. Very witty and will appeal to everyone. And, hey . . . it's animals.
