I was a theatre major in college, and worked for some years in semi-professional community theatre. The theatre world, and the film and TV worlds are totally full of homosexuals. Saying "faggot" on the set of TV show would be like a white guy making liberal use of the N-word in the middle of the 'hood.

No. The chief of surgery is black and the main resident is black. It's a diverse cast. Having said that I have to admit to watching it, which I don't want to do.

I only call them sodomists or, if in mixed company, homosexuals. Those words have precise dictionary meaning and especially the former presents a "word picture".

The beauty of both of those words is that they cannot ever be considered inflammatory, "mean spirited", "name calling" or juvenile, yet they strip the act/lifestyle of any attempted dignity.
