Only a few days have passed since Hillary Clinton announced she is running for president, but already it is clear that much forbearance will be required from us all in the long months ahead. This is not just because Mrs Clinton has started wearing ominous pastels and smiling a lot, or appeared to enjoy a joke apparently about her husband's sexcapades in the White House although these things do, of course, matter. No, what is so lowering about Hillary and her rush for power is the merciless, unapologetic, chisel-eyed way she has pursued her presidential ambitions over the past few years, and her blatant attempt to make over her naturally acrid persona into something that American voters might find palatable.
Even from an ocean away it makes painful viewing, like watching someone trying to fold a balloon into a matchbox, or form a rounded human being out of leftover ectoplasm and a Martha Stewart wig. Yet the New York senator seems unstoppable in her aspirations, attempting a soft-focus rebrand on herself as a homemaker of meek views and kindly disposition, ready to whisk around with the duster, cook Bill a nice, eggy supper and sort out world problems at the same time.

I'm really surprised about the anti-Hillary stuff. I expected they would all be silent or put out only puff pieces.
I see the Klan Pinkos on H&C tonight are saying they will not vote for her.
She's probably foolin' allot of them.
Wow, I like this Jan person. I'd like to send her flowers. Or buy him a drink.
Very encouraging piece.
Very juicy and smack dead on....
Tell me that American voters aren't going to fall for Hillary's line that she finds inner calm by doing housework.
The Clintoon people never expected to have this early a start and were forced into it, now how long will it take for people to start hemorrhaging and getting sick of her?
The Brits *do* have their Queen and Elizabeth is not that popular. Hillary is more transparent to the Brits because they know a witch when they see one.
I particularly liked this line: "Everything Mrs Clinton now does and says is a deliberate political statement, from the honey streaks in her hairdo to the girly pinks she chooses to camouflage herself in, although the effect of the latter is unconvincing: think killer shark prowling the shallows in a party frock."
I'm serious when I say the most telling statistic is that the name Hillary set the record for the fastest fall on record with US Social Security Administration records.
From 1993 (the year most got REALLY acquainted with her) on, it fell like a rock, never to recover.

The British papers can be much more objective ... don't expect to read anything close to critical of Hildabeast in the liberal MSM (i.e., NY Times, Wash. Post, etc.) on this side of the Atlantic.
This is a great post. It's nice to read something that's well written AND accurate.
Thanks for the encouraging info. A little story: I know a teen-ager who gave up her first name of Hillary and now insists that people call her by her middle name.
Women that say they will vote for Clinton because she is a woman are just plain stupid.
We need to keep the Clinton sex jokes coming; she'll never put up with being laughed at for two years without throwing something at somebody.
I'll do my part:
Monica walks into her dry cleaning store and tells the guy, "I've got another dress for you to clean."
Slightly hard of hearing, the clerk replies, "Come again?"
"No," says Monica. "Mustard."

Yeah. Well.
Get set for lots of stupid.
I'm sure she's fooling a lot of folks.
Weren't those files found in her closet?
Do you think she will have a chance at the nomination if things keep going this way for her? I have seen a noticable negative change in people's perceptions of her.
Oh, you're right! She sure has a thing about closets.
Hard to say... the squeakiest wheels do write the most editotials ...
I think there are a lot of "insiders" who know Hitlery that would never want her to have the power of the presidency because they are afraid of her and what she might do to them. Dick Morris is an example; even though he is actively campaigning against her.
No more stupid than women who vote for a man because he is good looking. And there are a bunch of them.
Pop culture = Politics.
5 million young women who vote for the first time will fall for it. They were not of age to be paying attention for those 8 horrific years.
Line of the day !!
Tidying up/clearing out the other day I found two of Barbara Olson's books, on Hillary (Hell to Pay) and the pair of them (Final Days) and have since reread them. If only half of what she says is true neither of them should ever be in the White House again.
Women that say they will vote for Clinton because she is a woman are just plain stupid.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Women who say they will vote for Clinton FOR ANY REASON are just plain stupid.
So she's admitting she doesn't know how to deal with Iran and North Korea??? but that there are bigger global problems (bigger than potential nuclear war??) that she CAN handle? Like what?
Classic, just classic!!
Of course, all politicians are guilty of a little repositioning and shaving of principles when the occasion suits, but until Hillary Rodham Clinton came along, no one has ever dared to politically morph themselves to quite such an astounding degree. Will it work? Let's hope not.
If she wins- buy deathcamp stocks.
The Telegraph was one of the few papers that really dug into, and wrote about, the Clinton's and Arkansas back when Bill was POTUS.
Great article - thanks so much. I did, however, have to look up the word: "soubrette". Somehow, I just can't seem to picture soubrette & Hillary! in the same room.
Nice that others can see the truth.
Now if Americans would!
Sad but accurate!
No different than her pageboy and hair bands back in '91.. and even then talk about how she loved to bake cookies. People bought it then and will buy it again.
Lolol! I saw her on the news today. Lovely pink twinset she was wearing. Sure beats ol' crusty ;) If she thinks this transformation will fool anyone who isn't in a residental facility, well then she's already called in bribes and graft...
The British papers also did some of the best investigative reports on all the Clinton scandals back in the 90s.
You can paint a fin pink, but it's still attached to a shark.
This is NOT rocket science. How stupid does she think the electorate is? I am grossly insulted by the presumptiveness of this so called woman. She is indeed a witch, whose pretentions to presidential power are nothing more than her own recurring nightmare that she insists on sharing with us.
She has less chance of becoming president than a snowball has of not melting in Hell.
Answer: Most American women and not a small number of American men..
Duuugh HELLO.. America has getting dumbed down for at least 30 years..

I disagree with this statement. What is so lowering about Hillary was her appearance in Iowa, when she said that no President should have to inherit Bush's mess, that he needs to clean it up ( Iraq)before the election in 2008.
This is NOT rocket science.
If Bush wins the war in Iraq, then Hillary doesn't have to worry about inheriting a mess. The president will likely be Republican. Yet she wants him to win the war becuase if she is elected, she doesn't want to have to deal with the mess of Iraq?
