More little white lies to distort the truth from this sutton crew. It happens again and again and again. It destroys ALL of their credibility. Hope to dog that sutton never runs for office, he is consistently irresponsible and a self-promoter. He also has ZERO belief or understanding of justice. He is a moron.

shot at an unarmed fleeing man

?? you really have to an uninformed bot to believe that a regular drug runner brings $1MM load across the border for delivery and does so unarmed... you must take the Sat morning cartoons at face value also! Johnny Boy Sutton is quite a Fed ee, just read about his good work at the "Murder House". Boy he really uses that prosecutorial discretion like a champ...

"i'm from the govmt an am here to hep you"

"THat rebuttal was hardly the "real facts" and was more of a joke."

Why don't you point out what there isn't true and why instead of just weakly labeling the whole thing a "joke"?

"Unions are Democrat-backing, forced dues-paying, illegal-immigrant loving, freedom-hating, scum-sucking Commies. Oh, the National Border Patrol Council supports these two agents? Never mind."

Somehow I doubt the border patrol loves illegal aliens.

First, that shows that one juror wasn't upset by the verdict, but by the excessive sentence. It also keeps talking about "the verdict". Well, there were 15 verdicts in the case, 14 guilty and 1 not guilty. SO which "verdict" is it that they feel bad voting guilty about, just the one that got them all the time, or was it a different one?

You DO have to have a unanimous verdict, a hung jury requires a new trial on whatever the charge was that is hung. Jurors are often told they have to all agree, and not to come out until they do agree. It's a common tactic to get fence-sitters to make up their minds. Like it or not, it's the way it is. The official instruction to all juries, (and I'm certain to this one as well) is that each juror is responsible for their OWN vote. After that, everything is pressure to come to a unanimous conclusion.

And who knows what pressure was brought to bear on these 3 jurors to make them say this? We see the extreme vitriol deployed by our fellow freepers on this very forum, some want the prosecuter hung or thrown in jail, others think it's fine to shoot people just for being here illegally. Maybe they had neighbors who were BP agents, maybe union thugs threatened them. We used to be wary of union thugs around here....

Sutton is a dirtbag who has made NO MOVE to bust the doper on the one thousand pount marijuana violation. He's up to no good. He wants that dope in this country, that crime unpunished and only the agents to pay. He is the scum of the earth. Politically, he needs to pay the highest price and be booted from office. I hope people who care about justice are taking a good hard look at this guy, because dollars to donuts, he's doing all kinds of miscarriages of justice in his spare time.

A. McCarthy...chief prosecutor in the first World Trade Center bombing that jailed the Blind Sheik...yeah that's the ticket. Worked out pretty well didn't it. One day the truth will be revealed on these Fed DA Heroes and it will not be pretty. The S. District of NY DA's corrupted the Blind Sheik investigation to the point that they were part of the cover-up by the Clinton DOJ of the run-up to 9/11, including failures and cya's in Oklahoma City, Flight #800, and tied to the need for Sandy Berger to steal from the National Archives. Just need one whistle blower.

How many of the jurors got their amnesty in the 1980's?

Was that when Jose Alonso Compean and Ignacio Ramos got their amnesty as well? (If you're going play such a dumbass game, I guess I'll play along.)

"....incompetent fuselage" is something I would rather have directed my way than, as the Greaseman would say, a fetid fuselage.

The worst case being a fusillade of fetid fuselages...

sutton never said the doper was a hero, he said he wished he could prosecute him, he wishes the BP agents would have apprehended the guy so we could put him in jail, instead of trying to beat him up, letting him go, then shooting him and then letting him crawl away while they destroyed the evidence in an act contrary to the rules of the BP agents, AND common sense (seriously, you just shot at a guy you thought was going to shoot you, he's not in custody, but instead of chasing him further you stop and go back and pick up all your shell casings and throw them in the water? Why?

Any of you hunt? Do you pick up your shell casings? If so, do you then throw them in the water? IN what normal circumstance would any law enforcement officer EVER pick up their casings and then throw them in the water?

there was no evidence of a weapon in the van where the drugs were. Carring a gun while delivering drugs carries a much larger penalty. drug couriers can sometimes get plea deals if they are just carrying drugs, but if they have a gun it makes it much harder for them.

Well that, and there is no evidence at all that this person HAD a gun, or pointed it at anybody.

Could he have had a gun? Sure. Do I wish the agents had captured him, and found a gun stuck in his pants? Yes, I do. But they didn't. Instead, at the scene they acted like they had nothing to fear, they said the guy wasn't armed, and the hid the evidence of what they did.

Once they realised they were going to be charged, they THEN came up with the "armed drug smuggler" story. Too late to be credible.

No of course he didn't - he is a Man Of Spin Control and like Jesse Jackson crying crocodile tears for mugging victims, or Hillary saying she loves the middle class, he claims in public that deep down, he would LOVE to prosecute the doper. But by his actions, he shows an entirely different face.

The only way to judge anyone is not by their spin but by their acts. Sutton's willingness to send the long arm of the law deep into mexican territory to provide both immunity and five million dollars taxpayer cash (to a doper who never came forward on his own and never would have had that nice cash purse and crime forgiveness come from Santa Sutton) shows which side he's on - THE DOPER'S!!!!! Sutton is the lowest maggot in Texas.

So you dispute McCarthy's claim that Sutton was known as a good friend for the BP agents until this case? YOu have evidence of OTHER cases where he sided with drug dealers? What "act" other than this prosecution, do you point to which shows that Sutton is anything but a good conservative supporter of law and order?

"We need cool, calm, law-abiding border patrol agents, not guys who think they have the right to mete out their own brand of justice."

I agree. We need only perfect law enforcement officers. All others should spend 12 years in jail.

Have you ever studied the drug trade? On the Mexican border especially, it's kind of violent. Dopers steal other dopers' stashes. Any doper who gets his stash stolen gets executed by his drug lord. Over 1000 dopers were killed in such ways on the Mexican border last year, and over 3000 got in throughout Mexico. it's a rough world in case you had never noticed. All dopers pack. Don't tell me this one didn't. They pack because their lives are in constant danger, occasionally from law enforcement (which usually doesn't bother to enforce when a false move could send them to jail) but mainly from other dopers. Read the facts on this industry, you might be enlightened.

Note also that the doper's family said he was packing and he always packed.

He's a liberal. He wants people to think he's a conservative so that he can get elected to higher office. Careerists like sutton don't deserve the time of day. He should join ANSWER and sheehan and more of his familiars, but he's too ambitious for that. Listen, don't go by what he says he is: GO BY WHAT HE DOES. He takes the side of dopers when it counts. He is human garbage who steadily lies and is not to be trusted. He also claims that MOST border agents are on his side - this is patently false on its face, given that he doesn't even KNOW most border agents. That little white lie, along with his little white lie about the agents shooting the doper "in the back" instead of 'in the butt' should be a red flag to you that sutton has honesty problems.

That's a good question. Now you're beginning to understand the depths of the problem.

The rogue duo had two easy opportunities to arrest Aldrete-Davila: First, when he attempted to surrender and Compean decided it would be better to smash him with the butt of a shotgun than to put cuffs on him, as it was his duty to do; and then, when the “heroes,” having felled the unarmed, fleeing suspect with a bullet fired into his buttocks, decided to leave him there so they could tend to the more important business of covering up the shooting.

Of course this we know this to be true because drug smugglers hoping to get five million dollars in a suit against the government would never lie.
