Illegal alien advocacy groups are demanding an end to immigration law enforcement
cnn ^ | 1 27 007 | lou dobbs show

Illegal alien advocacy groups tonight are demanding that the federal government stop altogether the arrest and deportations of illegal aliens. The illegal alien lobby also wants permanent U.S. residency for every illegal alien already in this country. The advocacy groups appear to be funded by so-called immigrant rights foundations supported by corporate America, as well as by membership fees, of course.

CASEY WIAN, CNN CORRESPONDENT (voice over): Saying they're empowered by the Democrats' control of Congress, a coalition of illegal alien advocacy groups is, in effect, demanding an end to immigration law enforcement in the United States.

GLORIA SAUCEDO, HERMANDAD MEXICANA: We come here to request the president to stop the deportation in the race because it's not good for the country

WIAN: The National Alliance of Latin American and Caribbean Communities is in Washington, D.C., lobbying lawmakers to support its so-called new course on immigration reform. Among its demands, unlimited amnesty for illegal aliens.

ANGELA SANBRANO, CENTRAL AMERICAN RESOURCE CENTER: Every migrant already residing in the United States who's contributing to the well- being in progress of the nation of good moral character and to whom our current laws deny the possibility to be legal permanent residents should be granted such opportunity.

WIAN: The group also wants illegal aliens in the United States to receive priority in any future guest worker program and a guarantee of legal permanent residency for foreign workers.

OSCAR CHACON, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, NALACC: We're not talking any privilege for foreigners. We're talking about the same rights. We work hard. We pay taxes. So why shouldn't we have the same rights, you know, as everybody else?

WIAN: Activists did not say how United States should determine which illegal aliens are of good moral character. Nor did they say if activities, such as paying a smuggler .......

Breaking the law makes you a person of good moral character, huh? I should be entitled to rob a bank whenever I want to. After all, what's the difference between one broken law or another? Some criminals are more equal than others. Fortunately, Americans reject this ridiculous proposition.

If the countries these folks come from would give American citizens full rights in their countries....for citizenship including breaks on owning property, starting businesses, free benefits etc....I'd consider it.

Why do they bother to agitate for the end of something that barely even exists?

This is mostly about Hispanic illegals and the White people that support them...Ask them if we should allow 10 million from Africa...and you'll get a different answer...Sorry..but it's the truth.

IT'S A WAR, an invasion! And it will be won without armies and guns. Hispanics have walked in and declared they now own rights because they are here and they intend to stay. "Make us citizens" they now have demanded, and so we do. Next they will declare that because they are the majority, it is they who will win the elections and thus run the country and make the rules. It is they who will now redistribute the nation's wealth (that you and I work so hard to produce)to whomever they please.

I wonder if it was this easy for other conquerors?

Hispanic racism, among the most virulent in the world, is the dirty secret of this debate, the elephant in the living room. Anyone who has worked with, or around, Hispanics in Texas will know that this is true. Open bigotry and racial favortism are almost comically obvious.

An area hospital recently payed a 6 figure settlement over a case in which an HR manager insisted on retaining a corrupt and incompetent security guard. The guy was eventually arrested for assaulting and robbing patients. Why did she ignore evidence of his corruption and keep him on the payroll? Both were "de la raza."

There is no population in the world with a fifth grade education that is not shot-through with an over-weening belief in its own superiority, the need to support "their own kind" against all others. It is a characteristic of ignorance, and it is what we get when we bring an ignorant third world peasant population into our country.

The poster who suggested bringing in ten million Africans as a repost to the Mexican supremacists is right on the mark. How about ten million Chinese? Try it and we will see who the real racists are.

Do you ever have that one right! Muslims have a "master race" ideology that no one can top. The Spanish-Hispanic world has been at odds with the Anglo world for centuries. What exactly is La Raza but some jerks of Spanish-Indian blood who think their native ancestry makes them rightful rulers of America. Lord, just take a look what they've done to Mexico and Central America!

Good moral character? The illegals have no good moral character or they wouldn't be illegal. The democrats have no moral charcter either, so expect them to grant amnesty and expect President Bush to sign it. Bush also has no moral character when it comes to protecting his pro-illegal contributers. What a diss apointment he has been on this issue.

There is no law preventing an illegal alien the opportunity to prove their "good moral character" by their leaving and applying legally to enter the US, and in their case, with far better chances of success than others since they may get a US citizen to petition on their behalf.

There is a list of corporate sponsers who have given multi-millions of dollars to La Raza at NCLR.com. Click on the red bar at the top of the page and on corporate partners. Scroll down and click on institutional corporate partners. You will find such names as Fannie Mae, Coca Cola, Allstate, etc.

These pro-illegal alien groups should get behind Giuliani. He not only ran a sanctuary city for illegal aliens when he was mayor of NYC, but he sued the federal government to let it remain a sanctuary city. And when he lost he ignored the ruling anyway. So, he knows all about not enforcing immigration laws and would probably be the best President from an illegal alien's point of view.

A snip from an article David Orland wrote:

"The revolution that MEChA plans for the American Southwest is to be a peaceful one — at least for the time being. By supporting continued high levels of Mexican immigration to the United States, MEChA hopes to achieve by sheer weight of numbers what the U.S. government long ago achieved by force of arms: the re-partition of the American Southwest. To this end, MEChA endorses a cocktail of pro-immigration policies.

These include open borders, government benefits (including the right to vote and obtain drivers licenses) for non-citizens, amnesty for illegal aliens, dual citizenship, state recognition of Spanish as an official language, and racial set-asides in education and corporate hiring.

MEChA is hardly alone in promoting these policies. The National Council of La Raza and the Mexican-American Legal Defense and Education Fund (MALDEF), two of the better known Latino advocacy groups, also support them (as does Mexican President Vicente Fox).

What distinguishes MEChA from its more mainstream counterparts, however, is its explicit and virulent calls for reconquest. While organizations like La Raza and MALDEF may harbor irredentist dreams, MEChA has made the reconquest of the American Southwest the central platform of its program.

As one of MEChA's founding documents, El Plan Espiritual de Aztlan (The Spiritual Plan of Atzlan) puts it: "In the spirit of a new people that is conscious not only of its proud historical heritage but also of the brutal 'gringo' invasion of our territories, we, the Chicano inhabitants and civilizers of the northern land of Aztlan from whence came our forefathers, reclaiming the land of their birth and consecrating the determination of our people of the sun, declare that the call of our blood is our power, our responsibility, and our inevitable destiny."

El Plan Espiritual is typical, not just for its atrocious prose, but also for its violent racial overtones. Indeed, to judge by the numerous Web sites and student publications sponsored by MEChA, life after the reconquest is going to be a pretty dreary affair.

Just beneath the surface of the Marxist-inspired "union of free pueblos" imagined by MEChA visionaries runs a rich vein of race hatred and conspiratorial anti-Semitism. As an editorial addressed to "capitalist whites" in the University of California Irvine's La Voz Mestiza (The Mestiza Voice) concludes, "You've spilled enough of our blood, now it's your turn to bleed you [expletive] sub-human beasts."

Or, as one of MEChA's many charming slogans has it, "por la Raza todo; fuera la Raza nada": for those of our race, everything; for those outside of it, nothing.

Such statements don't leave much to the imagination. In calling for the re-partition of the American Southwest, MEChA is not just seeking the overthrow of the American government but the overthrow of its people as well.

Only in this way will it achieve "the bronze continent for the bronze people" of which it dreams. This is strong beer, indeed. As a number of recent cases indicated, however, MEChA is not just tolerated on our supposedly multicultural campuses. It is encouraged:

Our level of tolerance has no limits...
