It only took 60+ years! Good job! The U.N. defenders will use this as a good deed to deflect any criticism of this inept bunch of rouge states for 50 years to come.
Maybe in 50 years they will be able to write up a resolution stating that Saddam Hussein was a brutal dictator...

Holocaust denial is just plain idiocy but the only U.N. resolution that interests me is the one that says they are disbanding.

"I wonder if it's any coincidence that Kofi's gone..." I don't believe in coincidences. The reasons behind Bolton's support for the new SecGen are also becoming more obvious as time goes by.

Phooey ... the National Socialists were defeated, destroyed, and discredited, 60 years ago. It's cheap and easy to beat up on them. How about addressing present day evils ... islamism, communism ...

Unfortunately, the damage is done. The lunatic who leads the people in Iran has already had is day in the sun at the UN and the attendant media attention right along with it. He spewed his sordid nastiness for the whole world to see and did it from the stage of the UN...a great deal of moral and practical equivalence was allotted to him and his hatespeach by the mere fact of his voicing what he did in THAT venue. Now, it will take decades to de program all the uneducated and biased losers in the world who saw, heard and will continue to believe what came out of his mouth that day. Funny, conservatives and the voice of opposition to that kind of extremism are NEVER given equal time in that forum. The voice of reason has no place at the UN and the red carpet has continually rolled out for the loudest, least credible and most extreme of the world's despots and firebrands. By their very presence on that dais, they have immediate and permanent equivalence with duly elected and properly accountable leaders all over the world. Sad.

This is what I fear may be the start of the resolution...

In my eyes it's nothing but a weak alibi of the UN (and their defenders) to have a talking point, against those who paint the UN as the anti-semites they are...
I'd be more interested in an unanymous resolution of the UN against the antisemitic genocidals of today, which means Iran, the "palestinians" and the wahhabbi enemy.

Moon is going to moderate the UN.
Some of his comments re the death penalty a couple of weeks back show that he is no Kofi...thank God.

No vote was taken on the bill as no objection by any member of the UN was registered in the council. For what it's worth it's a good move but I'm confused. That's nothing new where the UN is concerned. The article mentions governments opposed to the bill. If there was no vote and some opposition how could they establish that there was consensus. Only in the UN.
