Does it have a beauty parlor?
Yeah, I messed up. See post 34.
Ahem. That's Dr. Dean.
Around here (ultra-liberal Montgomery County - D.C. suburb) property tax on $6 million would run you about $60,000/year. A standard rancher in this area sells for $500,000 - property tax = $5000/year. Over $400/month in taxes to be allowed to live in your average house.
Mainly in malpractice suits against obstetricians where the children suffered birth defects, specifically cerebral palsy I believe. And he mostly took cases where the child had died. As a result, Edwards got very rich - enough to run for Senate - and is just about single-handedly responsible for a huge rise in C-section deliveries. Since his unsuccessful run in 2004 he's been on the payroll of UNC I think, running some kind of poverty study center.
From the photos, it looks like they had to chop down an awful lot of trees.
I don't see any Prius's in the driveway. Looks like lots 'o SUV's tho.
Good eye!
New glasses.... LOL
What's with that jumbled string of little buildings between the house and the barn? Was the architect drunk? Edwards should sue!
He'd wheel in children with cerebal palsy and claim it was because doctors didn't perform C-sections during birth.
Although their is 0 scientific proof that there is any relation between the two, he would wheel in a sick child in a wheel chair and talk about all the money they would need to raise the child. The jury would then turn around and award millions to the parents, and John Edwards would take his 30% cut.
Now in John Edwards state, the amount of C-sections have skyrocketed because doctors are afraid of this lawsuits. Thus putting mother and child at greater risks for infection and other complications. But heh, John got a 28,000 sq ft house out of the deal. Let's just elect someone with his morals as our president.
It does look a little odd, doesn't it?
And now, in liberal guilt payment for creating such a huge carbon footprint, his penance will be...
Planting tree!
Can these people get any more asinine?
Hence the saying, you can't own a house, only rent it from the govt.
The house reminds me of Southfork.
It's about the same here in Fairfax County of the Old Dominion!
And now they are talking abut doubling the cost of the 267 Toll Road (again, for the second time in three years) to pay for extending the Metro to Dulles.
More than likely he did; I understand that's a great way to cut your building costs.
It looks like Waco to me. :-)
