STRONG GUSTY NORTHEAST WINDS FOR THE INLAND EMPIRE AND SANTA

ANA MOUNTAINS FROM SUNDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH MONDAY EVENING.

.A MODERATE TO STRONG OFFSHORE FLOW ALONG WITH A STRONG NORTHERLY

FLOW ALOFT WILL COMBINE TO BRING STRONG GUSTY NORTH TO NORTHEAST
WINDS THROUGH AND BELOW MOUNTAIN PASSES SUNDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SAN DIEGO HAS ISSUED A WIND
ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM SUNDAY TO 6 PM PST
MONDAY.

NORTH TO NORTHEAST WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 50 MPH ARE
EXPECTED OVER THE AREA...MAINLY THROUGH AND BELOW PASSES AND
CANYONS. THE GUSTY WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO DIMINISH MONDAY EVENING.

A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT WINDS OF 35 MPH ARE EXPECTED. WINDS

THIS STRONG CAN MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH
PROFILE VEHICLES. USE EXTRA CAUTION.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SAN DIEGO HAS ISSUED A HIGH WIND
WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY MORNING THROUGH MONDAY
AFTERNOON.

GUSTY NORTH TO NORTHEAST WINDS OF 30 TO 40 MPH WITH GUSTS OVER 60
MPH ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP BY SUNDAY AFTERNOON BELOW THE CAJON

PASS AND OVER THE SANTA ANA MOUNTAINS. THE GUSTY WINDS WILL
CONTINUE THROUGH MONDAY AFTERNOON BEFORE SUBSIDING MONDAY EVENING.

A HIGH WIND WATCH MEANS THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR A HAZARDOUS
HIGH WIND EVENT. SUSTAINED WINDS OF AT LEAST 40 MPH...OR GUSTS OF
58 MPH OR STRONGER MAY OCCUR. CONTINUE TO MONITOR THE LATEST

We had snow-fall in Julian two nights ago, but the fuel moisture is still near-zero. We could have the rather unusual experience of a brush fire on snow-covered hills.

I just got on to see if any thing was going on...the Laker game on the Tube wasn't looking good for the Lakers....and the weather alert flag was ON in RED.

It is chilly so some warmth at the beach would be nice....but winds always get the fires going....NOT GOOD!
