Audio: Dem Congressman says it’s “likely” Rove planted the Rathergate memos

Congressman Maurice Hinchey (D-NY) believes Karl Rove was behind CBS’s infamous Bush National Guard memos. Today on Sean Hannity’s radio show, Hinchey asserted that Rove “presented” the documents so that CBS would pick up the story. “There’s a significant amount of evidence,” he insisted, while conspicuously failing to provide any.

Two years ago Congressman Hinchey made a similar claim at a community forum in Ithaca, New York. A LGF reader was there and recorded what he said. Audio is available at Little Green Footballs.

This is flaming deceit by the genuinely evil sponsor of "Fairness" free speech restrictions. Hinchey wants to surgically shut down independent and conservative talk radio, while leaving the Vast Liberal Conspiracy media outlets untouched.

Maurice Hinchey was responding that there was no need in a "Fairness" law for CBS to give equal time to its forged Bush documents, since "overwhelming" evidence indicates that Rove planted them.

Sean Hannity went ballistic at this lie, and got into a screaming match with the Leftist vermin. Here is a photo of this monster:

Here is a thread from the time:

CBS' “new” Bush guard memos a hoax (Update w/ conclusive proof of forgeries!)

Wiki - LGFThese commentators were criticized by Jonathan Klein, a former CBS News executive, as persons working in their living rooms in their pajamas. In response, some of these individuals started calling themselves Pajamahadeen.

Anyone know what Hinchey uses when he posts at DU?

A keyboard? I'm guessing he's a huntin' pecker...

The number one requirement to be a Democrat is to be gullible. They would probably believe the idiot who was on Coast to Coast last night alledging we have been mining the moon for decades. I was just looking at the pictures. This is great.

The avatar he uses is either the "late" Andy Stephenson or he bears a very good likeness.

Wonder whether he says,"PoliTHicize My Plight!" a lot.

LGF is one of the good guys. He/they discovered that first fake photo (extra smoke, extra buildings) during the Israel/Hezbollah war this past summer.

"Unimpeachable", meaning "completely truthful/honest".

As Rather's god would say "Depends on your definition of unimpeachable." CBS' definition of "unimpeachable" is "Hey, you don't know who this guy is so how can you impeach him?"
