The price of horses never falls below what the slaughterhouse is paying, except in dire circumstances when the slaughterhouses can't buy as many horses as are available.

Horse meat is pretty tasty, but not so easy to get around here.

The greatest issue with this whole PMU thing is the ethical one of creating 'throw-away' life.

Somehow I can't get too worked up about the 'throw away' lives of horses when so many babies are being 'thrown away' in this country.

This is a topic near and dear to our hearts.

My daughter , Sarah, has a homemade ..huge..bumper sticker on her car about PMU foals. When her car is parked..many people stop to read it.

She adopted a PMU foal from from here...Prism Horses.

This is a picture of Bentley (PMU foal) snugging up to his new big brother. It was taken about 3 years ago.

Yeah, point taken. But we do what we can, where we can.

When will the other shoe drop? What about all the young women using the pill as contraception? Those women are essentially on estrogen therapy as well, tricking their bodies into thinking they are pregnant so they don't ovulate through the use of estrogen, but NOBODY wants to open that can of worms... who wants to be the party-pooper of the sexual revolution?

I'm pretty current on BC information and am unaware of a strong BC/hormone link. Can you provide any evidence of that?
