A liberal is a liberal first, if anything else at all. And part and parcel of being a liberal is guilt and self loathing.
A classic example of one such is Maestro Daniel Barenboim.
It really has nothing to do with the story, but did anyone else find a bit of humor in the fact that the author of this one applied a commandment (love thy neighbor as thyself) which applies to neither of the two religions represented in this piece?
