Chron items: Urination and Defecation OK in S.F. and the CHP Camaro story by CW Editor July 2, 2002

Urinating and defecating on the streets of San Francisco Boy, talk about a city being caught up in liberal paralysis. CW has staunchly maintained that it is impossible for liberals to govern effectively. Governing requires decision-making, and the libs just can't do that for fear of hurting the feelings of some minority group If you have been looking for proof, what more does it take than the current indecision on a law banning urinating and defecating in public in S.F. The Chron sweeps through this story as though it is a normal story on a somewhat routine matter (Link Here). The article notes the utter confusion without shock, dismay, or the realization that the SF world is upside down:

KEYWORDS: francisco; pelosi; san; urination
Amongst middle class kids, urinating on the sidewalk has become a new trend. I am sure the trend began in San Francisco, where they have been doing it for years on Haight Ashbury. The trend has spread across America. Please kick anyone from behind if you see them urinating in public. This is a dumbass Liberal trend.

It's OK by them because it's European. Anyhting the Euro trash do is OK because, well,it's sophisticated. Meanwhile, Europeans are concerned about public urination because the acidity has a corrosive effect on public buildings.

Maybe San Fran will die, not with an earthquake, but with a zipper.

I once witnessed the remnants of a ten foot wide river of urine on the streets of San Francisco flowing from a side street into a gutter on Market Street. When I turned the corner there were a number of buses parked and some of the "hippy" passengers still milling about. True story.

Nothing will be done until they make it a practice to expell their wasts on the steps of City Hall, the town coulcil, and the front stoops of the cities Mayor, Councilman, and other such leaderships with increasing frequency.

That is sick.
There was this one awesome episode of "King of the Hill" where Hank takes Bobby and the guys out camping to teach Bobby self- reliance, yet their campsite is soon invaded by a massive group of disgusting, obnoxious hippies who wanted to hold some kind of weekend rally there. Hank complains, but the park ranger says something like, "They have a right to be here, it's part of freedom of expression." Then, Hank looks on in horror at something that an off- screen hippy is doing, and says, "Is THAT free self- expression, too?" The ranger replies, "Yes, the Supreme Court recently ruled that public defecation is protected by the 1st Amendment."

Ever noticed how the first amendment has devolved from the protection of political free speech to the protection of just about anything but the protection of political speech?

Perhaps it's time for the EPA or the CDC to demand an end to this open sewer of a city. Human feces on the streets, particularly in significant quantities, is not only disgusting but a health and environmental hazard. If you don't believe me, then consider the experience of several nineteenth-century communities with cholera.

" is not only disgusting but a health and environmental hazard."

Agreed...

You would think that on health concerns alone this should not be allowed...

But then again we must be tolerant of the toilet challenged...((;O)

Agree...Not only is it unhygienic...It's gross. Travel agents should inform tourists to update their typhoid fever vacinations and pack pooper scoopers when visiting San Francisco.

"Politicians are more inclined to weigh the social problems that lead to public urination -- poverty on the streets, drug addiction, mental illness -- than the consequences"

Gee, I dunno. I've urinated in public in San Francisco (and Walnut Creek too, for that matter). I was discrete enough to find a private, grassy place. I'm not poverty stricken, drug addicted, mentally ill, homeless, or a Leftist. I guess I'd better not do it again in Walnut Creek, but evidently San Francisco's given it the go ahead--no need to be discrete either, huh?

What an opportunity for a freep in San Francisco.

All of you California freepers can defecate en' masse in front of the San Francisco Municipal Building!!!

Make the "lawmakers" there perform a Carl Lewis type long jump to reach the steps.

Now THAT would be a protest!

The San Fagcisco pols don't want to offend their voters.Since a lot of them also have gay sex in public and those acts will likely result in some urine and feces being left on the ground/sidewalk-it becomes a gay rights issue also. That city is doomed.

Well, from what I've heard, "Breeders" aren't particularly welcome there anyway.
