This Week in Petroleum: Call(ing) on OPEC
December 13, 2006 -- As OPEC ministers gather in Nigeria on Thursday, December 14 to discuss whether they should cut production further, many people are voicing their opinions. Recently, both the U.S. Secretary of Energy and the Executive Director of the International Energy Agency (IEA) called on OPEC to refrain from further cuts in production quotas. Lots of smoke here - we now get most of oil from
Canada.
Warm weather continues in the US for another week and if itextends to New Years, these OPEC sobs will be cuttin each others throat in the race to the bottom on prices.
$20 - here we come.
We have to break the hold the Arabs have over our energy needs and the only way we can do that is drill in our own back yard whether the enviro-whacko's or the liberals like it or not.
You can't heat a home or drive a car with out oil and thats a fact.So lets put OPEC and the Terrorist they sponsor with their petrodollars out of business.
Did you notice the energy bill passed this week that allows millions of acres of gulf of mexico land to be added to the area we drill? President Bush like Reagan takes little bites out of the RATS and we get more conservative every year.
Still, the Arabs do control most of the Oil and OPEC, isn't that right?
That is not correct. Canada is the biggest but does not supply MOST. OPEC countries are 6 or 7 of our top 15 suppliers.

"Sometimes I wonder where people get misinformation."
I laughed when the Petro Cowboys cried "The Sky is Falling" in 1973 and I'm laughing again 33 years later!!
Keep going long on oil! This is a zero sum game and I need all the money I can get.
Going out a year or more and waiting until one way or the other war breaks out with Opec's Iran right in the middle of those supertanker seas lanes of the Gulf.
