The State Department, in an unholy alliance with none other than Catholic Charities(!) and the INS, has been settling MANY thousands of Somali families around the country.
They (and the Somali Elders) look for the best Social Services/ Welfare/Assistance Package and drop'em off for the locals to contend with. The Lewiston-Auburn area in Maine is one such drop. These are refugee tribesmen from the Southern area that borders Kenya, which most emphatically has no need for border-raider tribes who have made their living for generations as bandits and camel, cattle, and goat rustlers.
I must admit there was definitely a shortage of Americans willing to do this work in Maine.
If your state needs a few, let us know, we can arrange it. They are a law-enforcement problem, with endemic domestic violence and the by-now, well known Muslim female ritual mutilation practices. They are also all'round PIAs.
Marvelous government idea, dropping equatorial Muslim bandits in the middle of Maine. Thank you, o thank you, Catholic Charities for facilitating.

Looking at this from a purely Machievellian viewpoint, the Islamic people are brilliant in their strategy of subverting the larger culture around them. Establishing little centers of Islam inside the larger culture is like the creation of a guerilla army which, perhaps, one day, will gain enough territory or population strength to openly challenge the original inhabitants of the territory. They manage to maintain cultural allegience and solidarity, too, with their own people. Since the Islamic people also remain largely unseen in this stage of the subversion, they can also quietly obtain power and position. Simply brilliant. Speaking for myself, it scares the crap out of me.

This is what happens when, under the misguided notions of "tolerance" and "diversity," immigrants do not experience significant pressure to assimilate. Even the US will have issues, as we also have greatly relaxed assimilation pressure over the past 50 or so years. From melting pots to balkanized messes. Liberalism is a mental disorder.
Scares the crap out of me too. I live in Michigan in a small farm town and just recently discovered an Islamic Center not 17 miles away. Of course, there is a huge mosque and center in Dearborn which now plays call-to-prayer 5 times a day. But why not the township commission most likely is Muslim as most others have left the area. These folks are working very quietly while infiltrating communities and schools, but make no mistake, they are working hard to seek local positions and change local areas to suit their needs. The obtained local positions will be used to promote their "way of life" (via their PR scheme) to implement their ways upon us and ultimately to convert all infidels. It is absolutely scary!!
I think burkas should be illegal. Their faces are hidden and there is no way to identify them--they all look alike. You do not know who is under the burka, male or female, nor are the cameras that are all over America (for our protection) able to help if a crime is committed. Finally, I agree with those on this site that believe the reference should be changed to CULT. All good and bad are in this game. You can bet the good will obey the bad when they are "made a deal they can't refuse." We are simply allowing the numbers to grow in our own country. Shame on us.
If this is true - it is upsetting.
