So much for the 11th commandment.
Jed?
My sister is in Ft. Myers. Mention immigration to her and she goes on the rampage.
Apparently Tom (or at least his staff) can't spell English.

Florida Governor Jeb Bush was offended by his truthfulness and called him Naïve. Bush said Miami is home to the best advanced placement programs in the country. These achievements are a far cry from the `ethnic enclaves devoid of any English' you mentioned in your statement. Tancredo noted that while there are plenty of bright talented students in Miami (just like there are in Mexico City,) that does not change the fact that there is a 45% drop out rate in their high schools. If this is what Bush considers high achieving schools, we are in trouble.

Standard illegal-immigrant pandering from a member of the Bush dynasty.....white-wash flying everywhere as usual, never discussing the ugly, harsh realities of their un-American, pro-law-breaking illegal friends and what their presence is costing REAL Americans...in more ways than one.
I truly think the Bush's have forgotten what country they live in and work for....
For some reason there has been an enormous backlash against Tancredo on FR lately. I can't really figure it out, but alot of it has been nasty to the extreme. I may or may not agree with what he has to say, but the invective flowing his way is shocking to say the least.
Ping.
He'd fit in here though. ;)
A bit of carelessness, for sure...
Jed?
who broke the commandment first--the know-nothing nabobs of nativity (Tony Snow)...or those who happened to notice that Miami is closer to Buenas Aires than Sarasota?
Doesn't matter who did what first. The commandment got broken--over the people who helped ensure that we aren't talking about which Democrat would challenge Vice President Lieberman for the 2008 nomination, for crying out loud.
Jed? Who is it.
Governor Jeb Bush was offended by his truthfulness? More likely he was offended by Tancredo's stupidity. Tancredo would not know a real fact even if it bit him in its backside. As for miami, does Tancredo know that 99% or more of Cuban hispanics in the city are legal immigrans.
"As for miami, does Tancredo know that 99% or more of Cuban hispanics in the city are legal immigrans."
What does legal or not have to do with the lack of English in America?
Please include a source for the 99% number cited.
Thanks for posting both Cong Tancredo`s and Jeb Bush`s correspondance on this issue. This is typical for the Bush`s. Both Jeb and his big brother the Prez, are supporters of amnesty and a path to citizenship for 15 million illegals already living in the USA. America's sovereignty means nothing to the Bush`s. Tom Tancredo is 100% RIGHT!
