"The parents are going to be saying "enough is enough!" one of these years."
I'd LOVE to share your optimism, but with 37% of American births now to Single Moms (all ages, across the board, though teen births are down) I don't see "Daddy" putting his foot down any time soon. 'Cuz "Daddy" just ain't there no more. :(
Thanks again, FemiGnatzies, for making a Daddy optional, if not completely insignificant.
Back in MY day, we lusted for Levi-brand jeans. But at $25 a pop even back in the 70's, there was no way we could afford them. And funny thing...it never occurred to us to turn to A Life Of Crime just to get them. *SHRUG* Guess that's 'cuz our Dad's would kick our butts, LOL!
I remain optimistic, but change will take time.
The liberals are still in control of the culture, but their failure is becoming more and more clear. People will start noticing that the family down the street that doesn't let their kids watch much television and lays down the law about language, clothes, chores, etc. is the family that has kids that grow up into adults that people like to be around.
Too many parents are under the impression that making their kids tow the line somehow hurts their kids. Over time, many of the parents will find they have been misled.
The taxpayer is daddy now, but isn't allowed to say "no".
