Nick Ivicevich has publicly confessed to knowingly hiring illegals for possibly 45 years?
Shouldn't both the State and Federal government be looking at his books?
I have no sympathy at all. None.
Sort of hard to compete wagewise against a slave.
One of these days some people will figure out that most illegals are not coming here for "farm labor" jobs. Get the thousands of them here growing dope in the forests, many of them found with green cards to do the farm labor!

"As I've been reporting in previous columns and on the blog, the most notorious criminal alien gang on the scene is Mara Salvatrucha/MS-13. They're on the border, in the suburbs, and now...in our national forests. Earlier this week, I spoke with Calif., sheriff Rick Riggins, who has uncovered massive marijuana farms in our federal forests . Riggins reports that the Mexican Mafia and MS-13 paraphernalia have been discovered on the scene."
Yup.
Shouldn't both the State and Federal government be looking at his books?
They should but they won't. Employment law, labor law, tax evasion....he broke all those laws. Stone Criminal.
But the federal government will do...nothing.
Meanwhile, Nick will continue to whine for his slaves.
NICK IVICEVICH, PEAR GROWER: And I have been here for 45 years. And this is my -- it would have been my 45th harvest. And this is the biggest and best, prettiest crop I ever had, and -- and I didn't get to pick it.
Boo freakin whoo. If it's not profitable by now WITHOUT ILLEGALS then it's time to do something else!
Democrat (Santa Rosa, Calif.) Nick Ivicevich kneels in an overripe pear grove where the fruit has dropped from the trees. Though he says it was his best crop in 45 years, much of it spoiled for lack of migrant labor.
Quinones and (Nick) Ivicevich (center) knelt to examine more pears that had dropped to the orchard floor. At times, Ivicevich had to pause to collect his emotions as he told Quinones that much of his once-promising crop had gone to waste.
Whaaaa! I want my damn ILLEGALS (who taxpayers subsidize!) to pick my crops. I don't want to PAY LEGAL AMERICANS because they cost too much!
This pear plantation owner should be dancing.
After the recent elections, open-borders and open-ended (endless) Amensty
will be law next year.
That should put a smile on the weasel's face.
He could hire legal migrant workers. There is a program in place to bring over workers legally. Of course you have to provide them with housing and they have to go home.
Also, the illegals no longer "have" to work in the fields. They are working in construction.
If twelve million illegals aren't enough to pick Nick's pears, how many more millions will it take twenty, thirty, forty, fifty...
Pears are picked weeks before they are ripe enough to drop from the tree. Otherwise they get soft and mushy. Sounds like this guy didn't manage his orchard properly... all his "help" was out picking grapes instead.
Hire somebody besides illegal immigrants to pick your crop of pears, and pay a fair wage, sire.
