I was nine years old when this POS took office, it's tough for me to remember all of the incredibly anti-American treachery he committed.

But I'll bet you were sharp enough to notice that he was an incompetent who narrowly won over his opponent because he had the media behind him.

All true, Carter was a foreign policy and national security nightmare.

Was looking at his book in the store (would never buy it) called Our Threatened American Values or something like that. Somehow this radical leftist Carter, an alleged born again Christian, argues that traditional American values are for gay marriage and abortion and against the death penalty. Then he pretends these "traditional" values are threatened by the far right.

The entire book is very dishonest. For example, he says that the majority of Americans favor abortion being legal, amd that only 1/6 want to outlaw ALL abortions, but somehow this tiny minority is controlling the abortion debate. These are not the words of an honest man. He knows that yes most Americans would legalize abortions in SOME cases (which would include the rape/ incest abortion supporters) and that few would make it illegal in ALL cases (which would exclude rape, incest and life threatening situations). Carter knows he is ignoring the fact that a vast majority of Americans would make abortion illegal in many situations and would place severe controls on it. He is no Christian, he is an out and out leftist agitator.

this man SHOULD be tried for Treason, I have no idea how he goes around unchallenged with the statements he makes.

he makes me so ill - can't stand to look at him.

Ed Koch is the best person we have around who can speak to this issue clearly. I wish he would be louder in his pronouncements.

I have a good friend that lives in Westchester Co. NY who is Jewish, and 2,3 years ago we talked once about politics. I am not as conservative as most on this board but am clearly republican - and am repulsed by the angry left.

My friend and I explained our views on most of the major issues of the day and agreed with more than we disagreed.

However, he is as clearly Democrat as I am Republican, and as far as I can tell -- always will be.

When I asked him why, he just said, very thoughtfully, the Jewish people on whole are a very loyal people and they remain loyal to the party of FDR which they believe saved them from being wiped out as a people. it's that simple.

I always felt that Jews (my paradigm, sorry) were business people - but he said, no Jewish people in the USA are predominantly middle class.

It's always amazed me why Jewish people don't vote more conservative.

WE have to turn this into an action item somehow.

FIRST by exposing this FRAUD Jimmah CARTER!

what do you base your assertion that he [Jimmah F'in Carter] was a Soviet mole on?

I base it upon the net results of Carter's abysmal presidency, not to mention his conduct post-presidency:

At the very beginning of Carter's one term in office, he specifically reproached America for it's "inordinate fear of Communism", now THINK about that statement, a president of the United States promoting the idea that the United States has no justification to 'fear' Communism at a time in our history when the Soviet Union was consistently increasing it's nuclear warhead inventory as follows:

1976 - 25,800
1977 - 28,400
1978 - 31,400
1979 - 34,000

Sure, no need to 'fear' something like that.

'But wait, there is MORE!'

July 1977 - the U.S. Senate (controlled by DEMOCRATS) approve funding for the enhanced radiation nuclear warhead, aka the 'Neutron Bomb'.

By April '78, Carter had decided to defer production of that weapon system.

Carter (as promised) canceled the B-1 strategic bomber, the very same bomber that was used in the recent Afghanistan and Iraqi campaigns, a bomber Carter dismissed as 'unnecessary'.

Carter gave away the Panama Canal, a vital U.S. strategic interest.

Carter not only stabbed the Shah of Iran in the back, greasing the skids for the rise of the Islamofascist mullahs who now rule that country, he also stabbed our ally Taiwan in the back, halting all FMS (Foreign Military Support) while officially recognizing the ChiComs in Beijing. And within one week of being sworn in, Carter stabbed a staunch U.S. ally (Somoza) in the back, leading the way for a Communist takeover in Nicaragua.

Revealed the existence of U.S. developed Stealth technology in hopes of gaining a political advantage in the 1980 presidential campaign.

And, as recently revealed - Carter twice attempted to enlist the assistance of the Soviet Union in the 1980 AND 1984 presidential campaigns in an attempt to obtain a political advantage for the Democrat ticket (Carter in '80, Mondale in '84). In 1980, Carter sent the pro-Commie Armand Hammer to Moscow to meet with Anatoly Dobrynin, asking for Soviet help with issues like Jewish immigration from the USSR, Hammer reportedly making the comment that " Carter won’t forget that service if he is re-elected."

When Reagan was running for re-election in 1984, Carter personally visited Dobrynin and stated that "would not be a single agreement on arms control, especially on nuclear arms, as long as Reagan was in power", urging the Soviets to act in a manner that would benefit the Mondale/Ferraro presidential ticket.

During the disasterous Carter years, British intel (and reportedly some European intelligence agencies as well) seriously considered the prospect that Carter could be a Soviet mole.

In virtually every decision, every action, Carter acted in a way which was detrimental, indeed dangerous to the national security interests of the United States, in November '79, the Iranian mullahs and their 'student' sockpuppets invaded our embassy and took our hostages, Carter did nothing. The very next month, the Soviets invaded Afghanistan, and Carter did nothing. (oh wait, he decided to have us boycott the 1980 Olympics in Moscow, whoooooooo)

If Carter was not an actual Soviet mole on the KGB payroll, the only alternative is that he was a willing accomplice and volunteer in an effort to assist and expand Soviet power, the epitome of the greatest "useful Communist idiot" of all time.

Carter's record speaks for itself with one word, and that word is indeed:

TREASON.

Given that Old Jim makes Warren G. Harding look pretty pristine, I'd have to agree.

Let's not forget the most recent evil deed of Carter (Lord is he ever going to quit?). He officially declared the Chavez win in Venezuela was a valid and honest election.

Actually Carter didn't give the canal away, but paid 800 million for them to take it.

Eventually he became too good for the Southern Baptists and divorced them. Probably because the sountern conservative Christians were too pro-Israel.
