Hope he checks his plane carefully before flying. There's big money behind the environmental brainwashers. He is one of the best R's.

So basically it hasn't gone over 4 degrees plus in 500,000 years.

If it goes to 10 plus we'll know that we did it.. otherwise I wish these "scientists" would shut the heck up.

I'll allow myself to buy into human cause global warming when they figure out the how much of the warming varience is caused by us.. not just the varience itself and blaming humans for it.

There are solid theories for why the earth has warmed/cooled (look up Milankovitch Forcing) and one could argue that even if greenhouse gasses DID warm the earth, we could rely upon them to ease things a bit when we go into the next ice age and we would then have 120,000 years to figure out how to avoid overheating at the end of the next ice age.

Why don't Boxer and other senators of like mind introduce a resolution asking the Senate to revisit its 1997 vote (95-0) on consideration of the Kyoto Treaty (or Protocols, or whatever is the correct term)?
Why do so many otherwise rational and informed people assume that the Chief Executive, whose authority to prosecute a war without close congressional supervision they deny, has independent authority to ratify multinational treaties?
Why do Boxer and like-minded members of the Corps of the Deranged insist that the President by executive fiat order actions that in effect would deny the validity of the two key objections raised by the Senate in its 1997 debate on the Kyoto Protocols? The Senate on that occasion noted and found compelling that (1) key "Developing Nations" (i.e., India, China) were excluded, and (2) the Kyoto limitations would do great harm to the economy of the United States.

Somebody had better inform Boxer that she could have that bill ready for the minute after the Senate reconvenes and her party is in power.

She can't blame Bush anymore. It will be interesting seeing these kooks on the Dem left try and pin the blame for their ideas failing over the next two years.

Introduce the bill Babs.

You'll see some of the brainwashed post on here. One fellow always says "something must be done". When I ask why these guys can't come up with a good cause for the problem I get flamed. Also it's funny that much of the data traces the warm-up back to the very first year of the Industrial Age. One would think that the process would take longer or conversely that it would have went quicker as output from furnaces and cars increased.

Really profound reasoning when one's argument consists of "you're an idiot". Sorry "your an idiot" using their spelling and grammar.

There's a reason why these guys target kids and don't try to appeal to adults. They've been doing it for years.

She's an idiot. You couldn't explain barometric pressure to her.

But she believes the right things. Those are "credentials".

"global warming" is nothing but speculation. the weather guys don't even know where a hurricane will land in 48 hours, much less what the planet will be like in ten, twenty, thirty or more years. "global warming" is political science.

Madness. The inmates are running the asylum...
and no watch dog press to keep them in check.

Bush better warm up that veto pen that he's never used.

--McCain is now moving his credentials rightward since Allen got done in!!!--

Three things McCain must do to have a ghost's chance in 2008:

1) Admit that campaign finance reform has been an out-of-control failure, renounce it, and call a prime-time press conference to apologize to the people.

2) Return any and all contributions from any group linked to the anti-Chrust George $oro$.

3) Admit that "after further review", the Kennedy-McCain 'comprehensive immigration bill' has major flaws; reach out to the Dem senator who is most anti-illegal immigration (if there is such an animal, maybe Salazar of Colorado), rewrite it with MUCH stiffer fines for illegals & immediate deportation of all illegals convicted of felonies.

4) Admit that "after further review", the best way to combat the (bovine feces) threat of climate change is to build 100 new nuclear plants (carbon-free emissions), run them 24-7, and use the extra electricity at night to produce hydrogen (like France & Japan are already doing).

5) Also, propose to dump the nuclear waste into the newly-formed crater in Iran named the "Mahmoud Ahmamadjihadi Memorial Waste Disposal Site".

Inhofe is among the best we have. He penned an immigration bill last year that was far and above anything offered, but the rest of the senate ignored it.

He's the best presidential material I've seen.

“The legislative situation in Washington is almost as dire as the circumstances on our borders. I have long made it clear that I will not support amnesty and the Senate bill’s ‘path to citizenship’ is nothing more than amnesty, plain and simple. We cannot reward illegal immigrants for breaking the law and we cannot allow for illegal immigrants to shortcut our nationalization process. I think the President said the right things tonight, but he did not explain how he would carry out his plan. I have listened to Senators on the floor explain how their bill does, or does not provide amnesty for illegal aliens and I look forward to a similar explanation of the President’s plan.

“The ENFORCE Act (S.2171) which I introduced late last year solves many of the problems the current Senate bill fails to address including: providing for the construction of a high-security, state of the art fence to prevent illegal border crossings; the creation of a border patrol support force made up of recently retired border patrol agents and the creation of tamperproof immigration documents to prevent fraud.

“In its current form, the ‘Temporary Worker Program’ the President mentioned tonight is largely un-enforceable and poses a major threat to our national security. If we are going to allow individuals to briefly stay in our country for the sole purpose of working, there must be a system to both track and enforce the limitations of their visas. The Senate immigration bill all but guarantees these ‘temporary workers’ the right to become permanent U.S. residents and then citizens.

“Like the President I believe that requiring immigrants to learn English is a necessary and overdue change to existing law. I have introduced multiple pieces of legislation to this effect and I will continue until we are successful in making English the official language of the United States. As the President said, learning English allows immigrants to go, ‘from cleaning offices to running offices,’ I could not agree more.”
