I want a copy autographed by both of you!/ I'm sure you know that countless new inroads have been made into the world of publishing, that bypass the big money publishing houses.

"But as noted, this is a faith statement, not a scientific one. A practical question instantly arises: If the universe is material and essentially accidental in its origin and evolution, then how do we account for logic and reason? If logical thinking is an accident, then how can we depend on it to be trustworthy? And if logic is not trustworthy, then how can we regard science itself as trustworthy, since it is preeminently a grand edifice raised on the foundations of logic and reason?"

How logical this paragraph is, LOL! And how true. The book sounds like a fascinating read. Looking forward to getting my meathooks on a copy when available. Congratulations on your great endeavor.

"We'll let you know how to get a copy once we figure out how Timothy could and should be published."

I have my own little publishing company, and may go that route again for some things. But there really out to be a Free Republic bookstore. I know there are tax implications, but maybe something loosely affiliated.

the reader can involve himself as if he were a party to the discussion, too.

You are gifted at this very thing, a form of hospitality. We all see it here in every one of your posts. I'm thrilled to read so many comments here testifying to reading you in the forum for years and actively seeking out your posts. We've all learned a great deal from you, not just concerning facts or scientific information, but through you we may learn how to welcome/engage/pique the interest of others in these things. You lead by example here, creating an environment conducive to safe sharing, and when you debate you do so with positive rather than negative argument. So many of us need this example to model ourselves after in current conservatism, and here on FR; it is so rarely found. So many in conservative circles speak glowingly of Reagan and his manner, but so few actually live like him.Thank you for actually living such a legacy.

question: Will I get into trouble if I bump this thread? Gosh I hope not, being such a shy gentle non-confrontational person, I don't know if I could live with that.

I will disclose the expanded version of the center, but the others will remain as is.

the Darker the Liquor the Quicker the Sicker

Seemed appropriate after election day.

If the suggestions seems appropriate, I might also suggest that Ian Punnet would be best able to follow your presentation. His show is once a week, Saturday before the regular Coast show.

The Frog in a well metaphor was especially delicious.

Oh thank you, hosepipe!

We never did properly thank you for volunteering to be an early reader of this book. Let me take an opportunity to do that now: Thank you so much for your comments and sugestions!

I have a daydream that some day, you'll take A-G and me out fishing on your boat. Then again, reality kicks in: You live practically on the other side of the planet!

But you never know. If it ever happens, we'll have to bring a bottle of Cabernet along.... maybe a nice little Shiraz, too, while we're at it.

Thanks so much, dear hosepipe, for your kind words of encouragement and all your help.

At best, Laplace's statement boils down to a statement of perfect measurement of an immense number of initial conditions; coupled with zero-error numerical prediction methods -- neither of which are attainable in the real world.

Indeed r9etb -- thank you so much for this telling insight!
