According to the Iranian media Monday, Iranian President Mahoud Ahmadinejad declared that Israel was destined to ‘disappearance and destruction’ at a council meeting with Iranian ministers.
“The western powers created the Zionist regime in order to expand their control of the area. This regime massacres Palestinians everyday, but since this regime is against nature, we will soon witness its disappearance and destruction,” Ahmadinejad said.
When is someone going to take the non-PC approach and remodel his country with some nuclear weapons? Getting really tired of him and his daily pronouncements.
This is just the latest in a chain of direct violations of Article 2 of the UN Charter - why is there no movement to expel Iran from the UN?
And the rest of the World doesn't do a damn thing about it.
It'll be a couple more years. Israel will do it on their last day.

Iran is probably just waiting until January when the Dims take over before they do anything. They think that Bush's hands will be tied by a Democratic congress.
What they forget is that the President is also the Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces and can act with or without the consent of Congress.

This is largely founded on my personal belief as I believe in suicide. It has enduring benefit. Most people will do a lot of damage to those people around them prior to them whacking themselves. And they will whack themselves anyways. So , If they want to commit suicide, we as a society should be there to help them.
The saber rattling on both sides here is escalating this into a position where the side who nukes the other first wins - or at least they are very likely to each come to that perspective. If they do, the fireworks could happen much sooner than one may expect.
