Mass emigration slows Dutch population growth

AMSTERDAM — In the first nine months of this year, almost 100,000 people left the Netherlands to settle elsewhere, 12,000 more than the same period last year.

About half of the emigrants were Dutch natives, the national statistics office CBS said on Friday.

If the trend continues, more than 130,000 people will have left the country by the end of this year.

For the third successive year, the number of emigrants substantially outnumbers immigrants, the CBS said.

The net effect means the Dutch population was reduced in the 2004-06 period by 75,000. In the preceding three years, there was a positive net migration of 75,000...

Years ago CBS 6o Minutes ran a segment called "Dutch Treat" that showed how bad it was in Holland and that in a few short years half the nation would be supporting the other half. Apparently that time arrived and the producers are moving elsewhere.

From what I have seen the Central American non Mexican types sem to be pretty admirable workers a lot better than our inner city no man head of the family types

I lived in Germany for four years, and Saudi Arabia for five. I know a lot of Nederlanders in both countries, as well as a lot of Germans. There are plenty of Dutch and German people that are NOT socialists, atheists, etc. The people that come to the USA probably are less likely to be of that stripe. Also, they assimilate. Campesinos from Mexico and Central America are coming to the USA in such numbers that most are not assimilating. That is a problem. Read VDH's "Mexifornia."
