I seem to remember that before the internet, the media used to actually find out about election results.
Did IL change that much tonight or do the incumbents stay to do their same old damage ? I haven't even checked. I'm in Chicago .. THE WORST union thug, party controlled police state I've ever seen in my life.
Just go to bed now.
I'm convinced the Republicans just did not show up this election. Either that or there was fraud...even conservative Douglas county elected a Dem commisioner...unheard of.
Well, they do believe in socialism and 'for the common good' (of course they really mean -- for their good)
Promise us you'll sleep on it?
Montana is NOT lost, Burns closing rapidly, he's 9,000 behind with 90,000 to count and over the last 30,000 counted he's kicking Testers' tes-uh,....butt.
U.S. Senate - Montana
U.S. Senate 65.6% of 867 precincts reporting
Candidate Party Vote Count % Votes Cast
Jon Tester Dem 128,245 51.0%

The MD site is out of date. One way you can tell is that the numbers are much smaller than everyone else is reporting. Notice also how the big city counties are all zeros? Another hint is that every network in Christendom has already called the race for Cardin.
Please stop insisting that Steele is ahead. You are irritating people who know better, and who are not particularly happy at the moment.
If the Libertarian was not in the Montana race, it would bring us a lot closer to Tester.
Flathead and Gallatin produced nearly 50,000 votes for Bush in 2004. Accoriding to BigSkyFreeper's post, there have been only 10,835 votes total counted between them right now.
I say there are 15,000+ votes in those counties still waiting to be counted for Burns.
Seems it was the result of a majority of Americans not having the stones for war. It's like 9-11 never happened. And, the historically thing for the opposition to take over in the 6th year of a presidency? I don't really know....media has such a grip on public perception.....I feel sick.
geeze, bit your tongue... I can't abide the man.
The GOTV coordinator at the phone banks was telling me for the last couple of weeeks that it was going to be bad...
I didn't believe her, because of all the (unwarranted) optimism here.
I'm afraid my worst fears about President Bush being unwilling to fight for Conservative principles, and Rove and Mehlman's betraying conservatives, may just be coming true.
But then, Califronia, with Gerald Parsky (sp?) the liberal GOP head recruited by Rove, seems to be doing okay...
Maybe the American people just do not want good, principled gov't. I always thought we were different from Europeans, who always seemed so unprincipled, soft and dissolute, but it may be that they are not.
I guess if that's the case, we can start dusting off old Roman speeches about the end of Empire when the citizens care more about bread and circuses than having good ogvernments.

You miss a dose of your medication tonight?
I don't doubt fraud. Remember who owns Diebold and the programming is proprietory -- even a freeper said he/she had trouble getting the vote for a R to not register for the D on the ticket, had to keep clearing the maching. How much of that went on?
The only way any ballots would be thrown out would be if the number of fraudulent ballots exceeds the total number of ballots that weren't voted for Democrats plus the number that were voted for Republicans.
If a precinct has 1,200 ballots cast of which 1,000 are votes for Democrats and 50 for Republicans, and it's discovered that 300 ballots were fraudulent, that would only reduce the Democrat's total by 50 (since it would be theoretically possible that 50 of the fraudulent ballots were cast for Republicans, 150 not cast for either major party, and 100 for Democrats, thus representing only a 50-vote swing).
Maybe one could mathematically prove that fraudulent votes provided the margin of victory, but the standards are generally impossibly high.
"Old" compared to what? Quit calling me dense, with all due respect! I'm just posting changes from the secty of state's website.
I wished that Art Bell kook Lib wasn't in this two man race.
