Judging from how his eyes are beginning to sink back into his head, I would say were looking at timetable of days and weeks instead of months...

They've been saying the same thing about Keith Richards for a LONG time.

"The comparison that's really telling is between this photo and the photos of him with Carter where he was obviously in far better heath and weighed a great deal more."

You got that right. What a difference. I've been alive long enough to see a number of people reach their end, and it seems it happens this way. The last bit of time in a spiral downward, is at a very steep angle.

The running suit fills him out and also could cover a lot of tubes and things they don't want the people to see. He is obviously not being mechanically ventilated, but he could have central lines for IV nutrition hidden under that jacket. His hands are very white and atrophied looking to me. He's been very sick and he doesn't look like he's ready to run a marathon any time soon.

Look at the series of photos commish posted at 52. He's undergoing a rapid, accelerating wasting. Not long before the Cuban people will be able to break out the champaign.

The "F Castro" on his shirt is fitting.

"Not long before the Cuban people will be able to break out the champaign"

As well they should. They have all suffered long enough for this one man's poorly reasoned ideals. Cuba should be a wonderful and thriving place.

Why would he need a Monogram on his Adidas jacket? Looks like a prep school emblem on the jacket. I imagine that the veins on his arms are fairly blown out by now. Looks resigned to death, an "eternity" kind of stare. Any Jesuit training left in there? One of their spiritual exercises is to reflect on the soul in hell for eternity. He might find this exercise useful about now.

He looks like he's starting to suffer Biblical retribution right now. The Good Lord is exacting his vengance, which will be far worse after he goes to his "reward."

Wow. He does look like $hit. I got the captions associated with the wrong pics and thought the first was August 2006 and the second was 2002. I thought the change reasonably dramatic for four years, but two months? The guy's a goner for sure.

It's been said he had a colostomy...I suspect he was in stage 4 cancer at surgery. I also suspect he's on morphine...he'll not see 2007...on this earth...

Are you a physician? All I an is a JD, so my views are only those of an informed layman. From what you write, you appear to be a physician. Please post your reply for the benefit of all the rest of us on this thread. Thanks.

The big jacket is probably there to hide the colostomy bag, etc., and any other tubes going in and out.

He definitely does not have long to live.

"I'm getting up out of my sick bed to vote Democrat"

"Oh no, wait, I'm not dead yet; I can't vote Democratic until I'm dead! Can someone speed up this disease so I can be officially dead, in the grave, and thus able to vote by November 7th? Thanks for your attention to this matter."
