So do I!

I think it's a ploy to get even more publicity for them....AND ....make the nation think the 'Right' is strongarming the networks....

Very disingenuous and Machiavellian!

(or am I finally paranoid!!)

It's almost like we (collectively) have no right to our free speech when we say "SHUT UP" to these three twits. Freedom of speech is NOT a guarantee of being heard.

I guess Weinstein would be infavor of forced purchase of the Dixie Twit's albums, too...

That's OK... They'll shop this to different courts, until it gets to the 9th Circus Court, and they'll rule that the Dixie Twits' first amendment rights WERE violated, and they'll rule that we all have to buy their CDs and go to their movie.

The reason NBC is rejecting this is not because "they are disparaging of President Bush", but because they are BLATANTLY disparaging of President Bush. The mainstream media will maintain their aura of objectivity even at the risk of squandering an opportunity to further the cause of electing liberals. Their claim of objectivity, long exposed as a lie among the masses, nonetheless remains of utmost importance to those within the cabal to maintain. For them, it is a psychological imperative.

The mainstream media does not need to be blatant and overt in their reporting. Theirs is a tactic of emphasis, subterfuge, and word-play, enabling them to maintain the pretense of objectivity.

I smell a shady PR campaign... based on "fake censorship" aided by NBC.

I caught the Chicks on LKL for about 2 minutes before my gag reflex kicked in and I moved on. They tried to portray themselves as victims. What they did is no different from being caught yelling fire in a crowded theater then feigning shock at being held responsible for their actions. Boo-hoo-hoo!

Personally, I don't care what entertainers think about anything except perhaps their craft. Audiences buy tickets to be entertained not to be ambushed with outbursts of emotions and ignorance. I'm not interested in their personal lives or their opinions on any subject most especially matters of national security, immigration, education, politics, child-rearing, medical research... whatever. If the Chicks want to have a political forum then do that but stop calling themselves "entertainers".

Evidently, FR has gotten to NBC, as well!!

The Diebold/Halliburton service group has the contract for coffee service at NBC. Coincidence? You be the judge!

(I'm just making this up)

Last night I was watching NBC local news at 11:00pm for fire update and I saw the ad for the Dixie Chicks movie. I swear it was NBC. It shocked me because I had just read about it on Drudge and thought, oh NBC changed their minds.
