Drug Raid Yields Los Alamos Documents

WASHINGTON - A drug raid on a Los Alamos scientist's home in New Mexico turned up what appeared to be classified documents taken from the nuclear weapons lab, the FBI said Tuesday. Police discovered the documents at the scientist's home while making an arrest in a methamphetamine investigation, according to an FBI official in Washington who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the case.

The police alerted the FBI to the documents, prompting a federal search of the unidentified female scientist's home. The official would not describe the documents except to say that they appeared to contain classified material.

Asked about the raid, FBI special agent Bill Elwell in Albuquerque, N.M., confirmed that a search warrant was executed on Friday night, but he refused to discuss details.

"We do have an investigation with regard to the matter, but our standard is we do not discuss pending investigations," Elwell said.

A spokesman for the Los Alamos National Laboratory, in Los Alamos, N.M., declined to comment.

No doubt former Clintonista and now Governor of New Mexico Bill Richardson will jump in to defend this female scientist ... there's probably a good chance he knows her in a Lewinski sort of way.

She's a scientist at Los Alamos and they're looking in her house for drugs? Good thing she's a drogero, or they never would have found the documents.

Trading drugs for secrets? That sounds like a plan. Our BIG GOVERNMENT maybe incompetent when it comes to security, but when it comes to PR they will have this story killed in no time.

Lol. This is the quote of the week here. We dont discuss investigations, but we caught this gal on a meth investigation who had top secret files.

The irony is beautiful.

Having done work at the Labs post-William I can say that all hell is going to break loose with the head guy there. He has a real zero tolerance policy.

WTF?! What kind of trash are we hiring these days to work on our top secret stuff? Or was this a Clinton era hire?

Next thing you know, we'll have congress"men" running male whore houses and playing around with the male pages!

UC is the current funder. The current head hancho at the facilities is an ex-marine and a real stickler for procedure. Getting into S-site is almost impossible.
