Okay, I confess that image went through my mind as well. Yeah, I know, I'm a horrible human being, but it was funny.

Imagine the same scene with John Kerry. Kerry would be "fishing" with a hand made bamboo fly rod and be dressed in the most expensive preppy safari clothes while one of his lackies was helping the kid fish and Kerry was bloviating about how he used to fish from his swift boat while he served in Viet Nam.

Why did no one hand Bush a rod and reel? Because the Donks and their Media Elite enablers would have made a HUGE fuss about the President fishing without a license.

I agree that the polite thing to do is grimace inwardly and perhaps correct the mistake in private. But maybe next time the op will spend some more time making sure his virtual fly isn't open.

I bet he's going to make a great father in law. Sonless fathers make great father in laws often as do daughterless mother in laws if that makes sense.
To: musikman
Since this is from Reuters, I'm surprised their headline doesn't make it sound like Bush was using the child for bait...and that they didn't include quotes from PETA denouncing him for cruelty to fish.
To: musikman

One local lib writer supporting partial birth abortions said that during her pregnancy they went through a brief period of worrying their unborn child had spina bifida and she couldn't wait to run out and have one if the baby did.
Often spina bifida sufferers are physically handicapped but have normal intelligence and can lead relatively normal lives. I have a good friend whos younger sister has it. She's confined to a wheelchair but she is a successful tax accountant.

That's probaby true.
President Bush is quite an angler, as is his father. I'd love to see the look on the current president's face when that little boy pulled in a big fish.

Private water. I don't think you need a license. You didn't used to anyway. There was some rumbling about changing it.
Besides, what wildlife man has the stones big enough to ticket the POTUS...in NC anyway.
