The FBI is investigating whether Rep. Curt Weldon, R-Pa., used his influence to secure lobbying and consulting contracts for his daughter, two people familiar with the inquiry said Saturday.
The inquiry focuses on lobbying contracts worth $1 million that Weldon's daughter, Karen Weldon, obtained from foreign clients and whether they were assisted by the congressman, they said. They spoke on condition of anonymity because of the confidentiality of the criminal investigation.

Curt Weldon was already polling weakly and had stumbled on the campaign trail a number of times. Even without this hit piece, he was in big trouble.

I just read on Lucianne that this event happened in 2004, was reported in the LA Times, Weldon took info in to the ethics and was cleared. This is old news.

First the self-serving fiends in the DoD declare Able Danger to be fiction, with the full protection of Arlen Specter's deference to the Pentagon. Then the RATs throw former Admiral Joe Sestak against him. None of this worked to destroy Weldon, so Justice is doing their part to finish the job. Anyone who threatens the status quo must be eliminated. Hillary would be proud.

You know he's onto something when they resort to that.
If people don't like lobbyists, then maybe they could consider eliminating all of the unconstitutional crap that the federal government does and pare it back to what was enumerated for it in Article 1 Section 8. Then there'd be less to lobby about and therefore fewer lobbyists. Just a thought. I don't expect anyone to actually take that seriously.
