You're right, permit me to add another point. I was in college near the begining of the feminist movement. Since that time I have seen feminism grow from righteous indignation at unequal pay or the inability to enter certain jobs to supporting behavior that borders on insanity.
Girls get drunk, crawl into bed w/a guy to sleep, and are shocked when the guy tries something physical. Girls walk around cities and campuses at all hours, because, damn it, they have a right to do as they please. No matter that the basic psychological make up of people hasn't changed since the cave man and people will do evil, even if you, ms liberal, think that they shouldn't.
I don't know what happened to this young woman. I'm not calling her a liberal or a feminist. I have been part of academe one way or another for a few years now and see the damange that militant feminism has done to our young women. No woman should be out wandering the street alone in the wee hours. Friends shouldn't let any of them go off alone when the bars close. But, tainted by feminism as most of them are, they continue to engage in actions that are almost certain to bring trouble. It's sad to see so many cases like this in the news, but frankly, I'm surprised there aren't more of them.
Homocide would be the killing of a gay person and I don't think that is a separate crime anywhere yet. It is probably being treaded as a homicide.

Brian Rooney, 36, has been arrested. Sexual assault, lewd and lascivious conduct with a child (unrelated to this incident but stuff they discovered in the course of the investigation).
Rooney in custody on other charges re a child molestation....grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
per press conference on now they arrested him today for prior charges and he is their suspect in this
