Actually, American beer tastes fine. The problem is that there are a lot of malted beverages in American that are misleadingly labelled as beer. The primary exemplar of this is Budweiser, which, containing rice, is not beer, but is marketed as such to the ignorant.

I am distraught at the thought of high priced beer coming our way, I mean, what will us rednecks do now, and how can we drive our pickups if there is no beer left? And what will we throw at the stop signs now that we ain't got beer bottles and cans anymore? This is terrible news!
