alcohol is fine ,but only when used as an accelerant.

I wouldn't ride in one of those cabs even if I didn't have alcohol.
That is, unless I was eating a blt.

While I do not think these Muslim Cabbies have adopted a sound business practice I do support the Cabbies right to refuse any customer they wish.
The cab is their property and they have a full right to control what occurs in their cab.

What do they do? Search you and your luggage before they accept you as a fare?

What a great idea, now people can tell who the muslim cab drivers are and avoid them!

The airport should pull their permits to operate (assuming they can do that) if they are not willing to service the clients. It is a lucrative position to operate out of an airport, if they don't want it I'm sure someone else will.

I would be temped to ride one of these cabs and surreptitiously smear the seat with pig fat and leave some porn just to have that intolerant bastard have to clean it up.

There's the real problem, IMO. Get those subhumans out of the business!
To: Rakkasan1
Is it illegal yet to lie to the driver about what you have or don't have? Are you
required to declare alcohol, that you are Jewish??
Also like the idea of calling up the next cab and asking if the driver is muzzie. If yes wave him on. shouldn't have to happen for very long.

Cabdriver Muhamed Mursal doesn't wear his Muslim beliefs on his sleeve, but he soon may broadcast them via a light on top of his cab. Mursal and hundreds of other Muslim cabdrivers at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport refuse to take travelers they know are carrying alcohol.
That's fine, now people will know which taxis to avoid like the plague, and which ones to rub bacon grease on or put bacon strips on top of.

I think that is both good news, and bad news!
The good news is that you should show up at an after hours Club and breath on the cabbie! "You had alcohol, bad!" Goodby!
The other good news is that it will put all these smelly cab drivers out of work for lack of revenue.
The bad news is that CAIR, and others, will teach these maggots how to wire bombs!

The Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) is owned and operated by the Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC). The Metropolitan Airports Commission was created by state law in 1943. A public corporation, the commission was designed to provide for coordinated aviation services throughout the Twin Cities metropolitan area.It would appear to be unconstitutional for the government to support a religion in this fashion. Where, oh where, is the ACLU? Where are the anti-discrimination zealots?

Once the lights go up there will be social pressure for all of the Somalians to have a light and then there will not be any cabs available.
That said if lights are allowed I think we should also have yellow lights for those drivers who do not wish to carry Jews, red lights for those who do not want to carry Catholics and purple lights for those who do not wish to carry gays.
We should also have a pink light for those Muslims who do not wish to carry hog farmers and a blue light for those who do not wish to carry dog owners.
There should be a green light so drivers do not have to carry people who want to eat or drink in the cab during Ramadan.
There should also be a red, white and blue light that would remind the cab drivers where they are living now.
