"Although there was a Rat sponsered a bill requiring doctors to provide abortions, it was handily defeated twice so this is not true."
That, I did not know. But, what about this?
http://www.lifesite.net/ldn/2006/jun/06060611.html
"A lawyer representing Medical Staffing Network, Stephanie Adler, told the Minneapolis Star Tribune that this is among the first cases to go to trial in which a pharmacist had been fired over refusal to dispense the hormonal contraceptives.
"It demonstrates there has to be a balance between accommodating someone's religious beliefs while at the same time providing a service and allowing people access to medical care,'' Adler said. "Noesen believes that his personal beliefs are more important than a patient's right to have access to legally prescribed medication.''
Medical Staffing Network said that Noesen was given accommodation for his religious beliefs but that a priority must be to fill legal prescriptions. The judge ruled that Noesen's behaviour was "disruptive",..."
Did the dems also allow for conscience in any bill? My point is that while Muslims are accomodated, Christians are not.
If in the public sphere a pharmacist must accomodate something, then a cabdrivers need to pick up fares regardless of whatever their belief. Either treat all the same or none.

There's a grocercy store around the corner, run by Lebanese, then God knows what kind of Arabs, now some other Arabs. The new ones stopped selling beer, and raised prices on everything else just enough to make "convenience" too dear.
Now they're lucky if a transient buys a paper or cup of coffee, because the neighborhood is apparently walking the extra block to the supermarket.

I heard it. It was Bob McNaney from KSTP TV. MAC is trying to keep this very quiet. They know the PR will be bad. People won't want to come through MSP if they hear this. Some of the Muslin cabbies say this is not a religious belief. Those that think so are misinterpreting the Koran.
That said, he thinks it's more a case of them finding out it's a short fare and using the no alcohol as an excuse not to take it. What the starter at the airport is doing as of now is sending that cabbie to the back of the line to wait again if they refuse a fare.
We now return you to the rant fest.

The basic problem with Ismal is found in their prayer ritual. Banging the Frontal Lobe on the ground five times a day has got to do some damage.
Frontal lobes have been found to play a part in impulse control, judgment, language, memory, motor function, problem solving, sexual behavior, socialization and spontaneity. Frontal lobes assist in planning, coordinating, controlling and executing behavior. People that have damaged frontal lobes may experience problems with these aspects of cognitive function, being at times impulsive; impaired in their ability to plan and execute complex sequences of actions; perhaps persisting with one course of action or pattern of behavior when a change would be appropriate (perseveration).
Cognitive maturity associated with adulthood is marked by related maturation of cerebral fibers in the frontal lobes between late teenager years and early adult years.

I don't understand: if they want to live under their laws and not have to deal with our ways, why do they come here??Because all the world should bow to Islam and its laws. This is another form of jihad.

Well, I'll tell you this: the last decade of muzzie actions and words have allowed me to totally understand the Crusades.

No, a wacko is someone who tells a muslim cabbie he can't transport a guy with a few bottles of wine.

I'm with the Muslims on this one. If they, for religious reasons, do not want to preform a service, fine. The other cabs, who will take people who have alcohol, will get the business of those people carrying alcohol. The colored lights will differentiate between the cabs that will carry those with alcohol and those that won't.We could take this even further. I'd like to see this blossom into an e-mail campaign like the "Boycot Citgo" one, in which all right-thinking Americans are encouraged to boycott the cabs designated with the said lights. I do not think I have ever carried alcohol to or from an airport, but I sure as heck not gonna ride in the cab of a muslim with a "no alcohol" sign. Eventually, the airports will tell them to get lost because they're holding up traffic.

As I said in post 140, this is the beauty of capitalism. If you, as a consumer, do not wish to use a cab at the Minneapolis airport driven by a Muslim that does not allow alcohol that is your choice. If I, as a consumer, do not wish to buy gas at Citgo station that is my choice. Voting with wallet and pocketbook are the most effective ways to bring change to a business.
My one concern with making this a national campaign like "Boycott Citgo" is the number of people able to participate. There is a large subset of the American people who buy gas, and can participate in the "Boycott Citgo" campaign. There is a much smaller subset of the American people who fly into Minneapolis, and a smaller subset yet who take cabs from the airport.
I do not have a quick and easy answer, you would want to let most of the American people know because most of the people who get cabs will be from out of town, so making the campaign local would not be effective. However, the small subset of total American people who both fly into Minneapolis airport and take cabs makes getting and keeping national publicity of the boycott difficult.

The boycott should apply to ALL Muslim cab drivers, and ALL Muslim activities in the US, not just the offending Minneapolis drivers.
If the moderate Muslims do not come out in FULL PUBLIC FORCE against the problems in their midst, then they all need to be held accountable.
