Daughters Ex husband is requesting a Judge remove children from Home Schooling, to public. He says it is socially better for them. They have always been Home Schooled, with His blessings. He is very angry and has changed all values and beliefs, and wants them to also. Tuesday morning is court date. Children are 11, 9, 6. Thank you so much for your help.

Some people will go to any lengths to hurt another. Prayers that the judge's heart will be enlightened.

What is the formal custody arrangement??
Daughter sole custody?
Does she have primary control in a joint custody arrangemnt?
Or is it "cooperative" 50/50 joint custody?

How it's written down in the original custody order will tell you a lot about how the judge will be thinking.

We prayer warriors whould be praying for God to open the judge's eyes to see what is best in God's sight for these children.

The heart of the king is in the hand of the Lord...

Prayers up to the Good Lord to melt the bitterness in your daughter's ex-husband's heart and for your grandchildren to be shielded from his anger. May the Lord strengthen your daughter's resolve and may his will be done.

Sending a little prayer up for you, too easternsky. I know this situation is not easy for you either.

May the Lord bless and keep you all. Amen.

The dirty rat....I have had 4 G-children homeschooled
and they are smarter than any public school kids..here
is an example...15 yr. old, with the family, moved to
Idaho a year ago...He is in a class with over 400 other
students and is the #1 scholar in his class...the
first time he is in a regular school, after HS his
whole life...other 3 are same....This Judge must be
a blind SOB and probably a liberal...jerk. Jake

Problem certainly seems worthy of a prayer. One on the way.

Primary control in joint custody. He has 33%. In February the Judge left them in home school until end of school year. After this school year started the Father brought a motion.

This should be a very uphill battle for his motion --
Will have to show (other than his opinions) that homechooling is somehow detrimental... not likely.

Encourage your daughter to have all of her state/county attendance & curriculum paperwork in order -- and have copies ready to show the judge as might be needed.

You might want to visit the Home School Legal Defense Fund website (google)... and/or touch base with them Monday.

Fear not...

It is unto You, O Lord, that we return with praise and thanksgiving for the shepherding of these young children in ways that bring You honor and glory. May it be, Merciful Father, that You will open the heart and mind of the Judge who will hear this petition ... cause him to see and hear the love this mother has for her children ... may he know that her instruction is far superior to what is given in public school ... by Your grace and mercy, let not man interfere with the righteous training of these precious ones. Melt the heart of this father, that he once again would rejoice in the Christian walk of his family ... restore unto him the joy of his salvation, O Lord, in the Mighty Name of Jesus we pray, Amen ...
