She's lucky. (Very few people who are attacked by coyotes get to sue McDonald's Corporation.) On the bright side, at least her coffee wasn't hot!

They're keeping the coyote as a publicity stunt, but they're labeling him with one of those "HOT" coffee warning stickers and having a "Name the Coyote" contest. Any ideas for a name? Well, she got bitten in Connecticut, so how about calling the coyote "Ned"...

What a wuss!
He was apparently with the fire department, so he most likely wasn't armed, but running from a coyote? Come on! Ignoring the outright lily-livered wussiness of such behavior, running from any predator is the surest way to invite a chase/attack.
I wouldn't want to be surounded by a four or five of them when I'm unarmed, because if they manage to get you down you may have a problem, but one? Bring it on, ya dern mutt!
What has become of mankind?

Did anyone think of having the McDonalds put out some more food to see if it would come back? Good point.

"He estimated there are 3,000 to 5,000 coyotes living in Connecticut"
Bad editing. Here's the actual end of the news report:
"He estimated there are 3,000 to 5,000 coyotes living in Connecticut. Of these, approximately 1,000 over the age of 65 in coyote years receive social security and 2,500 are registered to vote. Exit polls indicate heavy support for Democratic U.S. Senate candidate, Ned Lamont."
