Considering the quote by the Pope was from the 14th century, does that mean they're advocating book burning to rid the world of insults to Islam?

"Phase 1: Grossly violate the freedom of speech that the West holds dear. Do so through the non-existant lawmaking powers of the UN.

Phase 2: In this new intellectual atmosphere where Islam cannot be criticized, THEN make the West understand Islam.

Phase 3: ???

Phase 4: Profit!"

President Musharraf, is your faith so weak?

Mine is not.

Jesus is my Savior!

"I'm sick of hearing about Muslim sensibilities. They are just such a SENSITIVE group. Well I'm sensitive too. I'm offended at the beheadings, the flying of planes into buildings, the blowing up of civilians in dozens of countries. Let's talk about my sensibilities."

Yes.

Has Mussharaff (or however it's spelled) or any other of these Moslems who are freaked out over the Pope's comments ever condemned fellow Moslems' beheading, burning alive, torturing, or otherwise killing and maiming people who are members of other religions?

No?

Then they can STFU as far as I'm concerned.

I'm sure I can get you several titles, but I'll have to go home and check hubby's bedside table to get titles and authors. Most of my studying days are 30 years ago, and I must admit I pick up most of my "info" now, with regard to Sir Winston, second hand from Mr. C.G. who loves to quote out loud. He's always got something to share with me, delivered sonorously with quite a fine British accent. Some of my favorite chuckles are the now well-known humorous quotes of Sir Winston's, i.e. "Matron to Sir Winston at dinner party, If I were your wife, Sir, I'd put poison in your tea. Sir Winston to Matron, "If I were your husband, Ma'am, I would willingly drink it," and so on. Hubby used to entertain me with those when we were youngsters.

Mr. C.G. actually has entire speeches memorized. I NEVER went that far, but then delivered in the feminine voice, they would lose some of their impact. I'll get back to you -- I think you will love the time spent in study and in that of T.E. Lawrence, as well.

By the way, Sir Winston's childhood was rivoting to me. His beloved Nanny, "Womb" as he called her, was his "Rock". His parents were a bit disengaged, but Womb was always there for him. He lived life on the edge (not a very good student) and ran for the hinterlands when his father abruptly decided he needed "schooling". Sounds like his grandmother gave him his sense of humor. She was very witty. I'll get those titles to you.

He meant "definition", probably lost in translation.

The UN is a tool of the enemy.

The OIC is the largest voting block in the UN and is the political arm of the global jihad, and its function is to serve as cover for their jihadis and protect them:

Terrorism's Silent Partner at the United Nations

Terrorism As a Right

With the Organization of the Islamic Conference defending any act committed on behalf of "national liberation," the United Nations cannot even issue an unequivocal condemnation of terrorism, let alone join the struggle to eliminate it...

The reason for this failure is that the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), which comprises fifty-six of the UN's 191 members, defends terrorism as a right...

Part of their own declared agenda includes:

1. Strengthen:
a) Islamic solidarity among Member States;
b) Cooperation in the political, economic, social, cultural and scientific fields:
c) The struggle of all Muslim people to safeguard their dignity, independence and national rights.

2. Coordinate action to:
a) Safeguard the Holy Places;
b) Support the struggle of the Palestinian people and assist them in recovering their rights and liberating their occupied territories.

No prizes for guessing what that last one means.

What we have here, is their own official to further their jihad by political and financial means, while undermining the kuffar at their own UN by voting as a block. They ignore the UN Declaration of Human rights whenever they see fit, and came up with their own rules, in effect conceding that islam is not compatible with human rights no matter how much lip service they pay to agreements.

...It is clear that Islamic militants are quite aware of the incompatibility of Islam and The 1948 Declaration of Human Rights. For these militants met in Paris in 1981 to draw up an Islamic Declaration of Human Rights which left out all freedoms that contradicted Islamic law...

In 1990 the IDHR became the "Cairo Declaration on Human Rights in Islam," and was backed by the OIC itself. Essentially, the OIC picks up the ball from the terrorists and all those "misunderstanders of Islam" trying an attempt at plausible deniability, but not doing a good job of it.

Their aim of "coordinating action" to "safeguard the Holy Places" is in effect a declaration of acting as the saud/wahhabis international political arm to keep the hijaz under wahhabi control to legitimize their vile message as the custodians of the holy sites.

The only reason they want to unity in the islamic ummah is so they can build the strength to undermine and defeat us "filthy kuffar" once and for all.

Or as they say in the islamic world, "First the Saturday people and then the Sunday people."

Great post! It summarizes what the UN is really about.

What is the meaning of "kaffar"? Is it "infidel"?

You said"Musharraf is no longer an ally on the WOT.

He needs to be replaced." He was never an ally, he only responded the way he did because we pointed a gun to his head and stuffed cash in his pockets. What I have seen over this past week is a realigning of the new axis of evil. Along with Iran and NK, we can now include Pakistan, Venezuela,Cuba and some other Latin American countries and possibly china.I hope I am wrong but I truly do think the sides for WWIII are being drawn as we speak.

Musharraf's toleration of the United States is directly a function of how much money we continue to throw his direction. The minute that stops, his radical islamic population will rise up against him. If the Paki nukes aren't secured in time, there will a severe problem in short order.

Yup... Kuffar, kafir, kufr (different spellings) etc is a term muslims use for "infidel."

It's often used in a derogatory way, but hey, I'm proud to be one! ;o)
