Back when I was in the Corps I wondered how all those fat Chiefs were allowed to stay in. What the younger enlisted navy guys told me was the Chiefs only had to have a physical exam once every couple of years or so. Apparently they'd bust their tails to get just under the mark then go back to being a fatman.
Is their anything worse than having to eat a cherry from a fat Chiefs belly button?

I think it is Surface Warfare pin.Correct. We once called the designation "Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist" (ESWS).
Our new Chief AG also has a couple of Navy Achievement Medals.
