"Don't we all have e-coli in our colon.....? That's why we have toilets.....and ask people to wash their hands."
Gosh, I'm getting it here! :)
I don't know if it could actually be contaminated by manure used on a field as it would be subjected to sunlight and water for months before the product was ready.
Number one thing to do with all produce, WASH THOUROUGHLY before eating.
IBTBF /In before the Bush's fault.
I will donate 25 dollars to charity if the one person who died from this doesn't vote in Novemberr.
Outback Steakhouse bought out the remaining assets in 2004 and then sold them off to some real estate company, IIRC.
Ah well, there's always Don Pablos... :)
ewww... is that a bag you bought?
If you had ever worked as a general building maintenance man you would know that the ladies rooms are likely to be nastier ! And the clothing, education, or status of the person is no indicator of their hygiene habits.

I hadn't put any in, in the spring.......wet/damp and then to hot........but ow things are started cooling off. (Virginia, on Atlantic coast)
I figure what I don't eat, I'll freeze.
E-coli on produce comes from human feces. It is also a major reason why your town pool needs to be evacuated from time to time because some kid takes a dump in it, and at least 1/2 hour is required to allow for the chlorine to kill the germs.
It's probably a number of brands and they seeking the source, thus the call for avoiding ALL bagged spinach.
Your comment on how to grow kudzu had me laughing out loud. Thanks.
Mexican fecal matter from humans
There are several types of E. coli. Most just make a person have diarrhea for a short time, similar to a "stomach flu". E. coli O157:H7 is the bad one. I am a pediatric nurse and have taken care of many kids with the infection. The lucky ones recover pretty quickly. The others develop Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome, which is basically an acute renal failure. Many of them require dialysis.
Go read the kudzu thread I linked up there. You will cry.
Thanks. BTW, The latest stories within an hour or so have identified it as the 0157.
very similar to what I was going to say!
illegals field workers are probably doing #1 & #2 in the fields. remember the strawberries a few years ago? This is the same thing and THAT was why!
Is this information readily apparent on the package?
I told my brother the other day that kudzu is becoming popular as a salad ingredient. He said, "I'm rich!!" You ought to see his kudzu fields...acres and acres, lol.
