Yeah...dunno how to make that a squared 2.
You mean like this?
C2 = C<sup>2</sup>
:O)

So is West Virginia a really good place to hide radio telescopes from the noise of civilization, or did the Grand Dragon get them put there just so his name could be on them?

Yes, but he is definitely wrong on the remaining 0.5%. It is not .5 % it is .05 % and, yes he is wrong on that part of his theory:)

The problem isn't general relativity.

I heard that .05% occurred when General Relativity had to stop to have an I.V. Wow, those pulsar tests are gruelling!

Is there ANYTHING in W. Virginia that doesn't have this pompous KKK jerkweed's name on it? I think there's a pile of cow pies that doesn't bear his name (though, ironically, it's the one thing that should).

I agree!
since it contributed to the federal deficit, maybe we should call it the Robert C. Byrd Federal Deficit as well :)

This is an excellent example of the different nature between physical sicence and theories and biolgical science and theories.
There are no comparable theories in biology to test so rigourously.
This is why it is intellectually dishonest to equate various evolutionary theories, or even medical or other physiological theories to physical theories.
The degrees of complexity are different in terms of both measurements that can be made and specificity of the theory.

Next time I'm expounding on the laws governing the Universe, I'll do my best to get things close to that mark :)

"By precisely measuring the variations in pulse arrival times using three of the world's largest radio telescopes, the Lovell Telescope at Jodrell Bank, the Parkes radio-telescope in Australia, and the Robert C. Byrd Green Bank Telescope in West Virginia, USA"
Is there ANYTHING in West Virginia NOT named after this porkmeister?

Remember to think of West Virginia whenever you think of cutting edge astronomy. Yes, and whenever you think of pork-barrel politics, be sure to think about Senator Robert C. Byrd!

If I am reading this correctly, 0.05% is actually the error limit in the measurement so Einstein could be even "more right" than that. 8^)
