That's what baffles me as well. How stupid does someone have to be that they can't off themselves?

All they really have to do is mix up a batch of rat poison with water, filter out the lumps with a coffee filter, and refill their IV bag with the solution.
Presuming they are all terminal and half dead anyways, they are probably already hooked up to one.

They could even do it easier than that, just save up the morphine that the nurse gives a terminal person for pain. usually they hang a 1o mg bag on the iv poll every 4 hours or so for pain. After the nurse hooks it up and leaves, swap it for an empty bag. save them all up, and go in style, give yourself 100 mg all at once.
If you servive, it will at least have been a real nice trip, and you can try again later.

The night I watched that Eastwood movie, Million Dollar Baby I sobbed like a child! And last year when I HAD to put my longtime much-loved super amazing animal-companion to sleep I was completely destroyed for weeks!

I dunno. You guys make it sound so easy. But I think there really are cases when a peaceful quiet escape from years of illness or pain is really a blessing.

I sure pray I never have to see someone I love question their right to die in their own way. So heartbreaking!

So they want to make death more "convenient"? Isn't someone going to ask how they are going to control the usage of a "suicide device"? I mean, if they are so concerned about guns and gun control, here is an item specifically design to end a human life. Where is that very same crowd now? Don't we need "suicide pill control"?

All said, it's ridiculous. Still, I'll toss in finally that if someone is unstable enough to order and take a suicide pill, they are probably unstable enough to drop it in some random innocent's drink for giggles.

My thoughts too. It won't be a suicide pill after it is used to kill so one whose isn't already intent on dying. Then it will assume its proper name, the Murder Pill.
