Bush Puts War’s Foes On Defense

The series of speeches the president has been giving on the global war on terror show how and why the Bush administration has batted 1.000 in protecting the homeland from terrorist assaults in the last five years.

The speeches surely will rank among the most important addresses of any presidency, and they may be the boost congressional Republicans are looking for amid predictions that one or both houses are at risk of going Democratic.

For all intents and purposes, the Republican Party now has a lock on the issue of national security.

After President Bush described how the CIA’s much-criticized interrogation of top terrorists in secret foreign locations led directly to the prevention of plots targeted within this country, the response of Democratic leaders was thin and petty.

"...In his Thursday speech in Atlanta the president pointed out that when in 1978 the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act established special courts to issue warrants regarding national security threats, the Internet and cell phones didn’t exist. Today, waiting for a warrant could be deadly.

“The terrorists who want to harm America can now buy disposable cell phones and open anonymous e-mail addresses,” Bush pointed out.

What else is there to say?

Let's see...this article is from a VERY well respected publication so it will be ignored by most Libs I'm sure. I'll copy and paste the good stuff and send to my liberal brother and tell him to enjoy his safe weekend.

send to my liberal brother and tell him to enjoy his safe weekend.

Reminds me of the 2004 bumper sticker: "Bush/Cheney - Protecting your ass whether you like it or not"

President Bush will be addressing the nation on Monday evening prime time from the oval office.

To commemorate the anniversary of 9/11.

The dems road rage is escalating by the minute.

The dems are not handling the President's 'offensive' well at all.

The ABC documentary's timing is perfect also--assuming that they don't 'can' it.

I hope the President keeps on the offensive and keeps highlighting all of his accommplishments in the WOT--but just as importantly, I hope he keeps reminding everyone that while fighting the WOT,,,

he must ALSO FIGHT THE DEMOCRATS WHO ARE DOING EVERYTHING THAT THEY POSSIBLY CAN TO FRUSTRATE AND INHIBIT HIS EFFORTS!!
