Why would they invite that anti-American nutball to speak in the first place.

Are you sure he is still scheduled there? I went over to his website and he hasn't any speaking events scheduled for September.

and Georgetown (Jesuit university) invited Katahni to speak there next week. If this guy had his way, the good fathers at Georgetown would be the first ones beheaded.
Idiots.

Disgraceful! You have done everything you should do. Catholics should contact Catholic officials and inform them of the views of invited guests in these sorts of instances and that it is morally wrong to allow such people to use the church as a pulpit. Good work!

I "met" Prof. Robert Jensen when he came to make an anti-war speech at Auburn University a couple of years ago. I challenged him on his "facts" and called him a liar during the Q/A session that followed his tirade. Our conversation got quite heated before my mic was turned off by the moderator - the liberal head of the journalism department.
Jensen is scum.

By the way Jensen is the person who caused such a stir when he was permitted to join a Presbyterian Church, although he was a self proclaimed atheist. His article about joining the church can be found at http://uts.cc.utexas.edu/%7Erjensen/freelance/whyiamachristian.htm
When I spoke to Sister Digna she said she had hopes that his exposure to the Catholic Church would benefit him. She said she got the impression he was a seeker. Since I know that prayer can soften the hardest of hearts I will pray for this man and I hope you will too. Then we can all rejoice if he truly comes to God.

It is sad to report, but a local parish in the Victoria, Tx Diocese
invited UT professor Robert Jensen to speak to the faithful at
the end of September.
OK. If the church folks made people really listen to him so they
have better "target recognition" for NEGATIVE role-models.
