Rocky Anderson appears to want a short ride on the president's coat tails.

I see you're new here. That is correct, though nobody cares anymore. Since we know that lefties get to protest on somebody else's dime, as a rule, we tend to simply ignore and otherwise disparage them. Real people actually have opinions that don't involve going all babyfaced.

Purportedly protesting Pres. Bush (he, Condi, and Rummy are here to talk to the Legionnaires). However these protests always end up being a protest of anything and everything the left doesn't endorse.

A lot of Utahns aren't very happy with Rocky pulling this - rather than taking the time to welcome the veterans, he's focused on protesting. Cindy Sheehan was also supposed to be there but canceled at the last minute, yesterday (she actually had legit medical reasons for doing so, although I'm not sure why she committed to the protest when she knew she'd be in the hospital...likely a coordinated ploy to generate more attention).

The issue is not whether he has the right to protest but rather is he right to protest. Two very different things. It is my right to protest the earth being round. However, I would be an idiot to do so. By the way, I have no idea who this protester is or why he is protesting

Yup. However, they should also consider a little consideration when it involves a veterans gathering. The mayor, in particular, should've had enough courtesy to let the kooks have their protest and given the Vets a decent welcome.

Another thing to consider: they have the right to protest and everyone else (the vast majority) has the right to disagree with it (and say so). Despite what socialists etc have become accustomed to, the 1st Amendment is a two-way street.

From the time you posted this thread the "no" percentages went down? How can this be? Maybe I should change my name to just another dumb blonde. I never was any good in math. I just voted and it said 72.something.

I think so.

If they are honest protesters against the War, then how come they only protest one side?

It takes at least 2 to have a conflict yet they never make a beef against the Muslim fanatics.

The only answer must be that they don't bother protesting against the other side of the conflict because:

1. They are only interested in a political attack against Republicans for their own political gain.

2. Protesting against the Terrorists would weaken their attack against Republicans.

That is a fact that can't be argued because if they really were antiwar then they would by definition have to protest BOTH sides but they never do. That makes them lousy treasonous jerks who are too crap-headed ignorant to make political gain any other way.

Better than I expected for an ABC affiliate. Of course he has a RIGHT to protest. That wasn't the question. So this one is a no brainer.
