You said -- ... write "check inside" on the front of the envelope. After they check inside and find no check inside ...well you know.

I only send Christmas cards to people doing good deeds, especially when it is my dime. I've already given to the aclu with my tax dollars and yes, ba-humbug. LOL

The idea is to let them know you support Christmas.

Make sure it says "Merry Christmas" on it

No, make sure it has a religious scene, the nativity or an Angel , and wish them a Happy and HOLY Christmas.

And of course, send them a penny and ask for a receipt.

How about a "You're going to hell, for the work you do. Merry Christmas!" card... Hey, there might be a market for that.

"The real goal of the ACLU is to diminish the constitutional rights of American citizens. The ACLU founder and executive director from 1920 to 1950, Roger Baldwin, described the Soviet Union as a "great laboratory of social experimentation of incalculable value to the development of the world." He wanted to bring socialism to America, but he knew that to be effective, he had to disguise and mask this goal in terms of individual rights. He wrote: "Do steer away from making it look like a socialist enterprise. We want to look like patriots in everything we do. We want to get a good lot of flags, talk a good deal about the Constitution and what our forefathers wanted to make of the country, and to show that we are really the folks that really stand for the spirit of our institutions." (Quoted in William A. Donahue, Twilight of Liberty: The Legacy of the ACLU - New Brunswick, NJ: Transition Publishers, 1944, pp.6-7)"

"I seek social ownership of property, the abolition of the properties class, and sole control of those who produce wealth. Communism is the goal." -- Roger Baldwin, (leftist, anarchist, and Communist, was born in Wellesley MA and co-founded the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).

I've never been to this website before, but it's where I found the quotes above: http://www.earstohear.net/aclu.html

What scum these people are!

"But include a penny." And ask for a receipt.

Why not enclose a check for $0.01. Then maybe they get charged 15-25 cents for cashing it, not to mention accounting stuff. hehe

1) it 'is' our money (aka taxpayers) paying for this organization to exist.
2) I'm concerned taxpayer money goes for an utter lunacy.
3) if I contribute to sending a Christmas card, and 1 cent check, for to cost the aclu the money to respond.
4) do I also receive the bill as taxpayer for the aclu responding?

not wanting to throw cold water on this activism, but I would like to know before I send the aclu, anything.....
