Did not know he popped out to the world on an inauspicious date.
LOL
Thanks. Sorry, but language text isn't loading. Any mention how it was smuggled out?
LOL!
The Daily NK says it got hold of the copy, but not saying how. Probably smuggled out over Sino-N. Korean border into China's border area where many S. Korean journalists operate.
I wonder how it tastes. Once a bug flew into my open mouth and I accidentally swallowed it. It tasted bitter.:)
.
LOL!
A couple of its highlights were two pages called Health Workers or Harmworkers - harmworkers were the military. This textbook was being used in my kids school. Right near our base. They didn't stay at that school. Unfortunately not everyone on base could afford private schooling the way we could. Another highlight - a picture of a compassionate physician treating a giant Panda in China. Oh, just by the way, this physician was wearing a green uniform with a great big red star on the cap. Guess, he somehow wasn't a harmworker.
Ronery Kim.
LOL... Only white societies that need to be changed so it will be 'as diverse as possible' (code for no white majority). Other societies? We need to respect and celebrate their unique culture...
Wow! The North Korean Propaganda Machine as almost as relentless as the U.S. Propaganda Machine (also known as the "Mainstream Newsmedia").
We must be doing something right. The world hates us.
"The picture is titled "Child."
This page must be puzzling to N. Korean children. I'm surprised they have pictures like this. To me it shows a life that majority of children can't relate to. Do they print 2 sets of books; 1 for the schools with more affluent children and 1 for everyone else?
(only 1/2 serious)
You have alot of South Koreans that think they'd be better off without Americans being there protecting their freedom and living under Ronery Kim Jong Ill.I know we had Katusas in my unit that would go to Seoul to protest against the U.S. on the weekends.
I suspect this kind of heavy handed propaganda will backfire. When people see the gap between propaganda and their own experiences they will become completely cynical.
But they hate to pay for hardware and increased manpower to fill up the capability U.S. provided.
Of course, when everything goes south, they would be the first to run away to U.S. The more strident they are, the more likely are they to do so.
Now that many of them become aware of what goes outside their country, I think they do get cynical. I think it marks the onset of collapse. The same happened to Soviet Union. Heavy cynicism and self-derogatory jokes. Then followed the collapse.
These should be made available to EVERY elementary school in the US. Teachers should be forced to show how war wongering some foreign societies are. All I hear is being taught in US schools is how BAD the USA is, and how peace loving all these other countries' people are. Your translation proves them wrong.
Stunned. Speechless.
