Please...That is old news. There was 8 out of 10 college age kids doing drugs at one time or another in the 70s. I could be wrong but didnt we have a President that admitted cocaine use? It is a bad way to go negative on something that happened 30+ years ago....Nothing new in KC politics.

If that was the whole story, then it would be a minor story at best. But when she turns around and pretends as an anti-drug campaigner and tries to take a Senate seat on that basis, it becomes quite the story indeed!

Believe me this story is just a witch hunt...she's rightthat entire generation was doing something during the 70's. Besides..as an attorney, I am sick to death of law enforcement and prosecutors pretending drug use is a real crime while killers and molesters are getting off free.

This may actually help her to win. There are so many abusers that many may come and out vote for her, rather than skip routine elections. Others may cite her for her "courage" in admitting her addiction.

By source, I meant a link to a reliable source. Roger Clinton has never been accused of being reliablethe source would actually be a police survailance tape on which Roger says: "My brother has a nose like a vacuum cleaner." Since Roger didn't know he was being taped, I would consider it pretty reliable.

You should also realize as an attorney that McKaskill was under investigation by the FEDS in the 1990's. This is not about the 1970's drug use. She has a dead ex husband and a huge scandal brewing.

But when she turns around and pretends as an anti-drug campaigner and tries to take a Senate seat on that basis, it becomes quite the story indeed!I think it's more rule than the exception that people become more supportive of the drug war once they enter public service. The drug war looks different on the other end of the cash flow.

I don't what the internal polling is saying because external polling right now is suspect. I have a hard time believing they are polling in the conservative areas of MO.
From what I have learned, this is only the first shoe to drop. We need to make sure we keep that seat in Republican control by turning out the vote in the conservative parts of MO which is what we did here in OK for Dr. Coburn!

What many like Spence dont know is that with just six prescriptions pain killers, such as Percocet, allow prosecutors to charge you with trafficking under the states mandatory minimum drug law. Just 28 grams of the painkiller is enough to serve a mandatory minimum sentence of 25 years in jail. She was originally charged with possession by police, but later prosecutors upped her charges to drug trafficking. Trafficking is definitely not a bottle of moms pill, said Spence as she sobbed.

I suspect she's getting a bump by running as tougher-than-Talent
on illegal immigration.
Truly done as a pure disciple of Bill Clinton.
It's going to be close given the dead and multiple votes in St. Louis
and KC.
But I think Talent will gently remove her brilliant disguise
during the course of a campaign.

For real. I mean I will take the time but didn't my president whom I voted for, tacitly (or as much as Claire McCaskill did) say they did a little stuff in the 70-80 period. I guess if you really want me too I can do it for you tomorrow.......

Is it the war in Iraq?Talent's commercials so far have been very "new tone", emphasizing how well he works with democrats and how "non partisan" he is. He's really softening the message.(so far)
Of course, you let a terrorist attack occur between now and election day, and all the guys will all of a sudden be great warriors on the WOT again ;)

I believe it is mentioned in Roger Morris' "Partners in Power". Roger Clinton was busted for cocaine at this time - approx 1983 - and he was supposedly recorded on the police survailance tape saying to the guy he was buying coke from: the reason he needed more coke was that "my brother has a nose like a vacuum claener".
