"Who didn't see this coming?"

Well, I certainly did. Let the Hezzies clean up their own mess? Now why would we do that? We've been trying to buy friends for a half-century, not to mention never making anyone responsible for ANY bad descision.

The Repuiblicans are as bad as the Demorats. Pass out money, we can always print more, and the poor chump taxpayer always gets the bill except for one small detail: We pay more and more since the US$ gets smaller, and smaller. Our government has run amok, just like the rest of the world. A pox on all their houses.

"Sending dough to Lebanon for any purpose is like taking it out in front of the White House and burning it."

Actually, it's far worse. Burning the money wouldn't kill anyone.

If Hezbollah and Iran won, why don't they pay it instead?

If he sent the dough to me, I'd take us all out for dinner...and then send the left over $ to the IDF!

"I dont want them to have one thin dime or penny for that matter. They created the conditions under which the Hezbos attacked."

I totally agree.

Lebanon?? Isn't that the country that allowed terrorists to set up in their country? Is that the country that allows terrorists to kidnap and kill soldier from neighboring countries? Isn't this the country that bitched about Israel responding against the terrorists they allowed to setup in their country rather than arrest the terrorists, or at least the terrorist leaders? Isn't this the country that allows the terrorists to set up their own TV Network with transmission towers in their capital?

I do not have a lick of sympathy for Lebanon. Also, can George Bush just give away our money because he feels like it or does congress have a say?

I thought Bush had more sense also. It you think about it, more money than any one of us will have to pay in taxes is simply being given away to people who will take it and spit on us. All those months of working only to hand over the money to the government for this. It is simply too easy to give other people's money away in a democracy.

I saw it coming but it doesn't make it any more palatable. Money to purchase the Hezzies more arm's to use against Israel and possibly us in the future.

I shall wait for the "faithful" to explain on the thread why this is "good" or just another GW "rope a dope" to be used against the Democrats.

I'm sure that will win the hearts and minds of Hezbollah. They will all love us now.

I dont want them to have one thin dime or penny for that matter.

I completely agree. The White House must be getting a lot of calls about this, because I had to hold for a few minutes before I could speak to an operator. Left word for the President that I was opposed to sending 230 million dollars to Lebanon, and wanted to know what he was doing for Israel? Reminded him he was President of the United States and not the President of the United Nations. I wish we would get out of the U.N. immediately.

The Hez's were giving away reams of newly printed $100 bills the other day. Hot off their presses or N. Korea's

Where can they spend them? I thought Lebanon used different currency. If they do, the currency exchange should catch the counterfeit currency. At one time I thought maybe this is money that Saddam hid all around Iraq and millions were not accounted for.

Gee, we're not giving the heroic fwench anything? How about the Syrians for all the people they took in? And the Iranians? Oh, and Hezzbollah said they'd keep their room clean, and go to church on Sundays.
