This just in from the UAC mailbox:
UAC Book Drive For Our Troops!
The United American Committee today announces the launch of a book drive for our troops. The UAC will be sending thousands of books on Islamic militancy to our soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Education is a major key to winning this war. says UAC Chairman Jesse Petrilla. Petrilla continues Regardless of one's opinions of the wars in Afghanistan or Iraq, by providing thousands of books on Islamic militancy to our troops, we will be giving them a better understanding of the true nature of our enemies. However, this drive absolutely needs your support in order for the goal to be reached of sending a minimum of 10,000 books. Authors Robert Spencer and Abdullah Al-Araby have agreed to provide copies of their books for this campaign at an extreme discounted rate in order to make this drive a success. For an average of every $3 donated, one of our soldiers will receive a book. If you can help, please make your most generous contribution by following the link below: https://128bit.clickandpledge.com/Default.asp?ID=11036
Any donors who contribute more than $13 will receive a UAC membership lapel pin.
More information on this and other UAC campaigns can always be found on the United American Committee website at www.UnitedAmericanCommittee.org
I think our troops already know about the militancy of our enemies.
Maybe send the book that the guy who was on Hannity and Combs tonight wrote.....he's a former Jihadist......didn't paint a rosy picture, that's for sure.
I didn't see H&C but I am guessing it is Walid Shoebat, he's great, he converted to Christianity and now dedicates his life to confronting the Islamofascists. And as for that person who said it was a bad idea, what are you talking about? Half these kids in Iraq have no clue why they are fighting and it's important that they know

They used to have no clue. Especially the non combat soldiers in the rear. But that was then, two years ago. Now the soldiers have seen what they have seen and they pass the word to the newcomers.
Exactly. Send them some Louis L'Amour novels.
I think it is a good idea. Sure, some will want L'Amour. There are others who perhaps want to add to their store of knowledge. We will need many Middle East, Central Asia and Islamic experts in the decades to come, and if some of them come from out of the military ranks, the more the better.
