As if anyone there had time for booby trapping it. Besides, there were EOD people involved in the demolition - they could have disarmed the booby trap, especially if the bike was a good, say, a BMW, one.

It's a bad situation all the way around. But the Arabs have brought the overwhelming amount of their misery on themselves. I believe Israel really wants to live in peace, but as long as they exist, there will be Arabs that want them destroyed. Fortunately for Israel they can usually kick their ass in short order. Israel is really holding back on Lebanon, a choice they have made, due largely in fact to world opinion. They could have flattened Beirut in an afternoon had then wanted to. Tyre? two hours.
Having been in two conflicts in the Middle East and over here now for my third, I have no sympathy whatsoever for the Arabs that want to cause death and destruction to Israel or their fellow Arabs. They have crapped in their own nest and now they have to live in their own filth.
