LONDON (Reuters) - Britain's biggest theme park has called off the country's first "National Muslim Fun Day" because of lack of interest, the park said Wednesday.
Alton Towers in central England was to open on September 17 for Muslims -- with halal food, a strict dress code and prayer areas.
Music, gambling and alcohol were to be banned for the day and theme park rides such as "Ripsaw," "Corkscrew" and "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" all segregated by sex.
But the park said the event's organizers, Islamic Leisure, who rented the park for the day and were marketing the event, had called it off due to "insufficient ticket sales."
"Alton Towers is disappointed that the planned Family Fun Day Sunday 17th September has had to be canceled," the park said in a statement. A park spokeswoman said Islamic Leisure would refund those who bought tickets.
Islamic Leisure's phones were not being answered on Wednesday.
Organizers had hoped to fill a niche for Britain's 1.7 million Muslims, some of whom may be uncomfortable with mainstream entertainment.
But the fun day had caused some consternation: a non-Muslim couple scheduled to hold their wedding at the park's hotel complained to newspapers that event organizers told them the bride and female guests would have to cover up.
The park promised the party would be exempt from the rules. A park spokeswoman said the wedding would take place as planned.

Just more proof that another thing Muslims are trying to eliminate is anything FUN. Being called on to martyr oneself just doesn't add up to my kind of fun.

They just realized that most of the things Muslims considered 'fun' were actually regarded as War Crimes under International Law.
Considering recent history; perhaps we should do more research into what MUSLIMS consider FUN!(before we schedule it)

Gee, I'm sorry that the Islamic IMMIGRANTS aren't comfortable with the cultural standards of the country that they willingly MOVED TO.
I would guess that more gender segregation is coming in schools, restaurants, movie theaters, and public transportation so Islamic immigrants can feel comfortable. Maybe we can do aware with British law and replace it with Islamic law. How about requiring modest clothing for women and beards for me?

The event was called off once prospective customers realized suicide bomb vests, beating your wives into submission were not permitted and that Jews would be allowed into the park that day as well.
Well--how much fun is being at a theme park in a burqua covering your face and most of the rest of your body, being in segregated lines for the rides, and stopping often to face wherever they face to pray?
There's a related story about a wedding booked in advance that was informed by the park's hotel that all attendees would have to comply with Islamic dress codes...even though the Islamic day was booked after the wedding. Hope the wedding party sues the heck out of the park to make an example.
Too bad. Now they can't get to play, "Fly the plane into the building." They'll miss the "Jew stabbing competition," too. I guess, Muslims can't ever get a break.
Gotta love those muslims. They are just so pure and holy. Of course they think nothing of killing innocent woman and children that don't happen to believe what they do and cutting off people's heads, but that's a different story

It already has. I recall reading of some park that had an exclusive Muslim day a year or two ago. I think it was Great America in New Jersey.

The only fun that Muslims have is murdering Jews and Infidels. That is their entertainment.
I guess when they cancelled the "Behead a Jewish Infidel ride" the muslims lost interest.
Some of the things the organizers planned were, "Stone the Adultress", "Blow up the Ripsaw", "Blow up the Corkscrew", "Blow up Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." Then they were going to play, "Blamed it on the Jews". Then they were going to behead any of the staff who wouldn't covert to Islam.
Whats next? The over 21 visit to a strip club?
